I love the idea of Harry winning the Dursleys round somewhat, and then not knowing what to do with their interest. so cute. I'm quite enjoying your whistle-stop year summaries, but I wouldn't mind a bit more fleshing out of the story. I am interested to see what twists you have planned. Also, I very much agree with your feelings on book 2!

Just found this gem of a story and I am really impressed with how you write. You have also come up with a couple of ideas I hadn't come across before, the white lie at the beginning and the interaction with the Dursleys in this manner. I loved what Hermione did about Lockhart. The relationship between all the characters is very entertaining and I am very much looking forward to the rest of the story.

I really love what you are doing! It's interesting and I honestly cannot get enough of it! I completely agree with the second book being too heavy. You know that was a really interesting way to go about getting the Dursleys to begin to care about Harry. Even if they don’t particularly like the magic part, they are slowly including him into their family (as an actual member) just as Harry is slowly including them into his magical world. I think that was something that didn’t happen between Petunia and Lily when they were children. Lily went off to this magical school and never thought to find ways to include Petunia and her parents in the world she was learning about, which made Petunia bitter and completely isolated. Leading her to blame magic and the magical world for stealing her sister from her.

So great job on thinking of a way to bridge that gap in a logically realistic way. I am really looking forward to reading more of this story.
