Great read. Looking forward to seeing how you implement some of the more... esoteric elements of Bloodborne lore. That said I gotta say the way you write Gher-Bear's friendship with Ozpin is easily my favorite part of this story. Kindred spirits indeed.

Aw yeah, now this is most certainly the good stuff. Gotta hope by the time of canon villains will learn to shit their pants around Gehrman.

didn't really expect any less from Gehrman, pity about Sandra though, she sounded fun(at least a little). Awesome fic so far, can't really understa d how i missed it up till now but happy I found it now none the less.

I just want to say; things might turn out amazing if Gehrman's attitude around Ruby will be akin to Lucifer Morning Star (DC TV series) around Trixie. XD

Incredible chapter! Really love Gehrman and Ozpins conversations, both of them are meant to be very morbid and ‘whatever it takes’ kind of characters. RWBY is meant to be like this but fails to deliver, but your fic is making it what it was meant to be.

As usual, love the Summer content too, really nice to see her in a fic for once, and will be interesting to see how it affects the future of ruby and yang.

Similarly to before I just really love how you’re explaining things Lore wise in RWBY world, especially since they more so focus on looking cool, rather than actually believable and realistic. Gehrman is a good change to this who can both look cool while also appealing to the realistic side of things.

Couple things left to say tho, just that I’m really loving the work so far and hope you’ve been doing well in quarantine! Looking forward to the next chapter already!

And last thing really, has it been addressed about Gehrman height? I can’t exactly remember in the fic if it has, but I think he’s like 7foot or taller, but not sure...?

Can I say that I love how Gehrman and Ozpin are both flagrantly ignoring the complaints of the people around them, regarding Gehrman's actions?

Honestly, it's a great bit of character for both of them that they're such pragmatists... and just a bit arrogant in their experience and wisdom. In their perspective, after all, they do know better than the children around them.

Furthermore, having Ozpin go from reproachful to slightly encouraging as he realizes that "Yes... This kind of violent purge is what is needed to prevent Salem from getting more pawns." is also a nice bit of character.

All of that really shows the alien perspective of two men who have lived for centuries and millennia, still dedicated to protecting humanity.

Also, it shows the respect they have for a fellow survivor/victim of such insanity that Gerhman accepts to give his prey a chance to surrender, just as Ozpin accepts that he won't be able to fully change Gehrman's mind.

Pfft, please. Morally killing those bandits and traitors and right and just in every way. People deserve what they earn. If you are a murderer, you deserve to be killed. Simple as that. It they do something they know will cause someone’s death, that too is murder. Kill every bandit and every pirate and make their corpses an artistic display for anyone thinking to replace them.

Gehrman hasn’t murdered anyone. And your portrayal of people’s reaction to him killing bandits is downright inhuman. People love it when those preying on them are killed.

Why is Ozpin concerned about Gehrman encountering Raven? She’d die pretty quickly. Has NOTHING on the things hunters dealt with. Or each other. Hope it’s not more soft heart like his sort morales. So soft scum murderers skip rope with it.

Don’t see what’s wrong with executing rogue huntsmen either. Personally I found the penal colony to be actual cruelty.
