A great one-shot fic. As for the innuendo in the fic, my views are very complicated. Shall I elaborate?

Anyway, the story plot with it being years in since Hexxus’ defeat is good. So much has happen since then.

Chrysta is older, wiser, a protector of the Forest, and a mother too.
Zak is a young man, and an environmental activist, first giving Ferngully priority and after seeing that it was safely preserved, seeing to other forests.

Zak and others have come to the forest, doing their job to protect it and while Chrysta is hesitant to reveal herself for complicated reasons, she still cares for Zak and Zak knows she is around though she hasn’t come to him.

The various trivia in the one-shot are great.

The reference to magical connections and mystery, and the tree imprisoning Hexxus is very detailed and profound.

It’s great how Chrysta is older and understands humans better, namely that while technology tends to harm Nature, it’s how humans survive and can’t simply abandon it.

Chyrsta’s daughter Magi has a short appearance in your one-shot, but I like her character, particularly the unique aspect of her nature.

The writing is very good too: good paragraphs, grammar, spelling, drama, depth, complexity and scope.

This is what I think of the wholesome standards.

The language is clean.
Nothing is suggestively offensive-THANK YOU.
No violence or any other vile content.

The mature reference is handled is a very tasteful fashion. But I feel it needs some fine-tuning. Shall I elaborate?

cute..i loved this movie..still almost makes u cry. cute story..but pls do continue...would be so awesome to see what would happen next :)

You have no idea how much nostalgia this oneshot has given me; I legit have just been hit so hard by the nostalgia train, like bloody hell. Happy that someone else also watched these movies too.

It’s very bittersweet, the romance between Zak and Crysta. These two were legit one of the first few ships I had, and it was a shame they never got together and Zak never made an appearance in the sequel.

As a kid, I didn’t really think too much on that one scene, but after rewatching it as an older demographic, I can definitely imagine something happening to them after the screen faded to black.

Love that you also included Budgie too from the sequel. I can imagine her somehow stumbling upon Zak and the two working together to preserve Ferngully because of the same goal.

Can’t deny, I wasn’t expecting a daughter to appear, but it was definitely a nice surprise. I thought at first it was hers and Pip’s child, until she said ‘uncle’ and started listing off her appearance. And her name is Magi, like bruh, my heart, lol. I know this will most likely stay as a oneshot, but I’d love to see Zak and Crysta reunite and she introduces Magi to him. Don’t think my heart could stand that moment.

Anyways, thank you for writing this nostalgic oneshot! Legit makes me want to rewatch the movies again.
