Excellent chapter. You obviously know how to reel your audience in. Good work.

Still, I do have to point something out. It's HIGHLY unlikely that Ibiki is Inoichi's boss, especially at the point of time in this chapter. Inoichi is over a decade older, and it's implied that he's in charge of ANBU's whole intelligence division, which means Ibiki is most likely under HIM, since he's only the head of the T&I department, which is probably a sub of the Intelligence Corp. Plus, Ibiki would be only 22 years old during this time (he's 27 during the chunin exam arc). Inoichi also happens to be a jonin, while Ibiki's a special jonin (a lower rank).

Also, related to grammar, possessives end with an 's; there needs to be an apostrophe. Just s is for plural.

For example: Inoichi's face, Sato's patient, Sarutobi's official position, Shikaku's assessment, etc.

Also, it's it is .'Its' is the possessive form.

Still, other than that, the grammar's really good, way better than the majority of authors on fanfiction, which is a serious issue considering how many are from English-speaking countries. They treat this site too much like social media or cellphone texting.

Or they're sincerely just that bad.

I say..Moarrrr! Very good first chapter. Has a similarity to Silenceia's 'growing strong' fic. But that's okay. A lot if fics starts about the same then diverges after a few chapters. Lets see how chater 2 gies. Looking forward to the next update.
