The story continues to impress. I find myself engaged in fresh and exciting storylines each and every chapter.

Black Hallow's character fits in nicely with the pirates of the Shantae universe. I'm excited to see more of his character as the story progresses.

I especially appreciate Rotty's conflict so far. The story has done a great job of providing her motivation that feels natural, which can be tricky with a character like hers.

Book 2 has certainly started off on the right foot. Excited to read more!

There are a number of interesting storylines set up at the end of Book 1 that are bound to make Book 2 a fun read.

I'm excited to see where Rotty's arc goes from here. And that twist at the very end certainly raises the stakes.

Looking forward to Book 2!

There's nothing quite like a crazed Risky Boots!

Another great chapter that kept my interest piqued throughout. Every character has a moment to shine in this chapter.

But as she so often does, Risky steals the show.

Her backstory is fascinating, and the way her backstory has been revealed is paced very well.
