I'm confused, why is Fitz helping Mellie become a Senator? Really he'd be doing backroom deals to get the position for her. They have enough on Mellie to get her to sign and walk away. It's not like she won't get some money and a property or two. It's more than she deserves. She had Teddy induced and put him in danger. She kept digging her heels in this chapter when Fitz was telling her he wanted this divorce and in fact she threatened him! I certainly hope this is a ploy to get Mellie to sign the papers. Fitz did ask for them to be in the Situation Room for a reason. If she signs the papers, he doesn't have to help her politically at all because it won't be in the divorce papers. She's done nothing politically to work her way up and without a lot of help from Liv she wouldn't have looked like a good First Lady. The Senator bit never made sense to me in the show. Her dream was to be First Lady and she got just that. She and Andrew need to go away.

Mellie won't go quietly and she doesn't deserve a senate seat but I am ready for what is next.

I looove how they moved and and proved to Mellie that she is insignificant. Lol
