Guest chapter 4 . 3/17
Wonderful! Now the games can commence in earnest. Let society learn how ungentlemanly the brother has behaved, and judge him for what he is: a man who does not stand by his own sisters and mother, in favor of a harpy of the first order such as his wife. Shame on him! I'm not asking for her to feel any shame, since I know she is incapable.

QOP chapter 4 . 3/18
I hope Elisabeth and the colonel's mother ruin Fanny's and Mrs Ferrars' reputation completely, so that they'll be shunned from everyone of the Ton (that would be the worst puishement for those harpies, after complete poverty)

DSLeo chapter 4 . 3/18
Yes, a patriarchal society wherein you are bound by duty more tightly than by your stays will always understand slackers... Oh wait, no...!

I like this comeuppance. I *loathed* Mr. John Dashwood in the novel, and also as portrayed in 1994-5 film. Thank you for the set-down... And showing John's insipidity, his lack of character, his ... well, there's a 21st-century term, but it is terribly impolite! To let one's wife's arrange one's life is often a joke *now*. Back then? Yeesh.
