Unfortunately, I think this kind of crass behaviour is typical of most big cities, where good manners and courteous behaviour have definitely taken a back seat. However, it is shocking that women should behave so rudely towards a heavily pregnant woman and there is no excuse for it. It is also surprising that in a cosmopolitan city like New York, which is full of tourists from other countries, as well as US citizens who have dual nationalities, that those two women - and other idiots like them - should assume that people standing nearby wouldn't understand them just because they are speaking in a foreign language.

That happens more often than not beware of the people around you, if you are speaking a foreign language and think they don't know it, they may surprise you like Ziva did and then you may well be embarrassed.

This happens on the NYC Subways a lot and people are just plain rude.
