I just found this fic and I love it. It is so hard to find good self insert or insert fics. I hope piper and Byleth make us! Also if you are looking for ideas why not try those interlude chapters that are in Earthbound. I hope to see updates soon and more often!

I really adore the way you've written Piper's turmoil and unsettled demeanor from being thrust into such an unfamiliar place! It comes well and it's fascinating to read!

This is my first time reviewing, and I have to say, this story is really enjoyable despite only having four chapters. It’s humorous, the characters are pretty in character, and I’m excited to read more content!

The rest below is just me speculating about some stuff in the story.

I’m not sure if I interpreted this right, but when Lysithea cast her spell, would she have been within Piper’s range, causing her spell to do a lot more damage?

Also, is demon god lady perhaps Sothis? It would explain why Piper has a very similar crest to Byleth’s and why Rhea reacted that way to her guitar.

So, I finally got caught up. To my eternal shame, I've been sort of putting this story on the back burner to say the least. It wasn't until just now that I read everything you've written for the story so far, and I'm happy to say that it's exceeded my already heightened expectations.

Piper. In the first few chapters, I'll admit I didn't really like her. But I don't think I was supposed to yet. Instead of likability, you supplied us with helpful characterization to make her feel concrete. We learn about how she responds to crises (not well, as it turns out). We learn about the kinds of weaknesses that her enemies might exploit someday, especially regarding her volatility and even a bit of her hypocrisy. And we establish a goal: go home. It remains to be seen how long this goal will hang in there, since I suspect that like with most inserts it'll fall by the wayside, but for now at least, this is one of the few stories that have actually convinced me that the insert really wants to go home. Finally, the way you've used Dimitri, Mercedes, Jeralt, and particularly Annette to give the poor girl a break has been really cool to watch.

I really like what you're doing with Byleth. In-game, he/she is so revered by everyone that we kind of forget how honestly freaky Byleth actually is. This unemotional, unshakable enigma that gets right up in your face and asks heaps of personal questions would be at least a little scary. A regular SI who actually knows the deal with Byleth might be prepared for it, but Piper's reaction is very believable for someone who doesn't know what to expect. Even though we know a lot more about Byleth than Piper does, you preserve the mystery through ironclad adherence to Piper's perspective on her. I can't wait to see where this goes.

As for the demon lady maybe-OC that threw Piper into this mess, it's too early to call. I like her so far, but for the most part I'm just looking forward to having more material to work with when forming an opinion.

I have only a single criticism. Needs more Bernie-bear. Other than that, I'm really liking everything you're doing and am looking forward to more!

Also, I feel I should weigh in on one of the most pressing questions of all. For now I'm feeling maybe 50-30-20, for Dimitri, Annette, and Felix respectively. But maybe the sullen edgyboi can pull from behind and take the lead, we'll see.

Most people wait a bit longer before starting to diverge, this isn't a criticism but rather an observation.
The way this mock battle ended may be small in the light of everything else but if something even this small changed I can't wait to see what will happen next!

Oh my gosh! This chapter had me on a roller coaster of emotions. Going from being frustrated with Felix to melting with happiness from the friendship scene between Piper, Annette, and Mercedes, and THEN to the shock and fear from Dedue's situation! I know for a fact I'm going to be wondering about the outcome of this until the next chapter. I'm super excited for the next update, and hope you're doing well! c:

Piper's effect on the world around her at Garreg Mach is so interesting and I'm really looking forward to seeing more of the repercussions of her presence in the FE3H world!

Great work! Loved this! You’re really making this story interesting! Mainly because Piper is SO realistic! Well done! And also, I must agree; Byleth did seem somewhat lonely after becoming a professor, but he/she had the students to connect with. However, if there was ever a possibility of their being ANY familial connection with a student, I can understand how that could be an even bigger interest/concern for Byleth.

In any case, I wonder just what could’ve happened? I assume the potion Lysithea mentioned reduces magical power/techniques? If so, I wonder how it came to be that Dedue was so easily hurt? I know he has extremely low resistance, but still...this smells like foul play!

Keep this up! I look forward to how things will go from this sudden curveball in the Mock Battle AND whether Piper will eventually “woman up” and use her power (hesitantly obviously) to protect her precious ones. After all, this ain’t Chicago anymore as she well knows. Here in Fódlan, it’s survival of the fittest!

Great work! Definitely enjoyed this! Poor Piper. She’s definitely feeling the immense stress huh? I truly hope she’ll find a way to keep herself grounded whilst in this world. Nonetheless, I am happy to see that she has no plans to have anyone control her and intends to give Fate/Destiny the middle finger! Lol.

Anyway, I digress. So you’re saying there may be a possibility of future OCs? Although not from Earth obviously? Cool. Maybe I could give a few OC ideas. Just a thought/suggestion.

In any case, I’d love to see more Piper/Byleth interactions. They really intrigue me. Mainly because Byleth finds Piper fascinating, while Piper herself finds Byleth very...intimidating.

Another good chapter! Golly, you just gotta love Annette and her cheerful personality. Also, I really liked how Piper described Ashe as a cinnamon bun. Lol. I can agree with that! He IS a pretty good kid with a heart of gold. He reminds me a bit of myself at times.

Also, you made a story for Awakening as well? AND have a Discord Channel? SI at that? Hm! I may just take a look at the both of them!

I'm in awe. When I saw the update I went to read it immediately. I saw that it was about 7k words, but lemme tell you it did not feel like 7k at all. I was so into it, it was so abrupt when I finished.

I love Piper SO much; she is absolutely refreshing. I live for the moment she snaps and trash talks Felix, and his reactions to her brash attitude. I love it! I was smiling so hard when she slapped him. I can only imagine what Sylvain (if he saw that) was thinking. I hope to see more of their interactions in the future!

And DEDUE, taking one for the team rip. I think it's an interesting way to slightly divert canon. Since Byleth was leading the Black Eagles, I was mostly expecting her class to win, or the Blue Lions, OR the Golden Deer to throw readers off. I didn't expect the mock battle to be canceled like that!
