Awesome chap, did not expect the lemon but it wasn't unpleasant.
Although it was a good chapter overall, and the lemon is great, that was basically all the chapter was, a one big lemon. I don't personally have a problem with it, as it was a big and important step in Zoe and Percy's relationship, not to mention they needed to do this if they wanted to join Lupa's pack, but it was all too sudden, especially the whole thing about Lupa. This is a pretty big turning point for them, from being prosecuted and hunted by everyone else to (soon) being protected and part of a family, though the requirement is to mate with another.
This feels like something Zoe would not just rush head in and say 'Fuck it', but something she would sit and talk to Percy about. Though I might be wrong, this is how it felt for me. They can be safe and protected, but they need to fuck to do it, and while I'm all for Per-Zoe, Percy is a noble man and with a lot of honor, which I saw you showed in the lemon, but he is also completely oblivious. It would have been a tad bit more 'real', as it were, if Percy was actually rejecting her advances a little bit at the beginning, feeling a little unsure of himself, then getting the full picture, then a clear confession of her love, and then mate with her. Again, personal opinion.

You know... this is actually kind of funny. Not the writing itself or the story. This lemon was very well done with only the occasional hiccup. But... just earlier today, I was studying the courtship and mating behaviors of wolves so that I could incorporate that behavior into a lemon I had planned for Zoë later down the line in my own story. Now, here I am, reading a lemon of a werewolf Zoë. Oh, the irony.

Regardless, this was well written, though unexpected this early on. Albeit, not unwelcome. I look forward to seeing how they move on from this point. With a new goal in mind, I can't help but wonder if Lupa will even help them. Lest we forget the additional plot pieces in play here. There's a lot going on, and I can't wait to see what the future will bring for this tale. This is Ronin signing off.
