You know something I never really understood? If Jon knew the threat of the White Walkers, why didn't he think of capturing a Wight before he left the Nights Watch? I know that he had to leave the Wall, but couldn't he have sent Rangers out with some Wildling support to capture a straggler as his final order before he left the Nights Watch? I'm not sure how much time it was between leaving the Wall and the Battle of the Bastards, but I think it would've been more than enough time for the Watch to capture at least one. After people doubting him about the Night King for so long (and this is from people who actually know/trust in the man), he really should've figured out by now that strangers from the South wouldn't believe him without tangible proof.

Was disappointed that you went for the canon meeting. Nothing has yet happened with the plot yet. Unless this attraction between them is a cause of magic and if you will explore it. Although will keep reading unless you go for the rest of S7 and S8 BS.

Disclaimer: the following words are my honest feedback and meant as encouragement.

First venture into the fandom and it did not disappoint. While I found the discovery on Jon's heritage in the first chapter a tiny bit too convenient and had some pacing issues here and there, it was a lovely read. The way that the series was done and how it ended, still pains me, but reading this has made me hopeful that maybe someone will be able to do it right. Albeit you borrow the dialogue quite freely from the series, this is not a bad thing. Additionally, some scenes follow closely the series as well with chapter four essentially a straight scene-to-scene description.

That said, while I enjoyed reading chapter three as a bit of your true original work, Arya's dialogue sounded a bit too childish at times. As it stands, she is a pretty bad BAMF with all the paths and possibilities open for her. I'd encourage you to explore that more and picture her more as an adult that she has become.

Other than that, loving the fact that you're not trying to cover a thousand places and plots at the same time, and that the focus is on Dany and Jon. Also, have to commend you on your manner of writing. It is really easy to picture the scenes in my head and follow the story. All in all, a very enjoyable read and looking forward to where it goes from here.

If i would be on Jon's place, i will go with Freefolk after battle of bastards . That is what Daenerys deserves after such Jon's humiliation.

Little changes making all the difference

That was one thing that seriously pissed me off about Dany, the whole show she's all about "her" birthright, yet when she discovers it isn't her's she's got no problem stealing Jon's birthright. Hypocritical much.
