I–I wasn’t crying... there was just dust in my eyes I swear. But actually this chapter was simultaneously beautifully written, and heart-wrenching. I am glad Libby was there to give Steve a hug because I certainly wanted to. It was very hard not to want to just jump through the screen to do it. Libby is literally such an amazing character. And I love all the details and the mentions of religion without it being too terribly in your face. (I am not religious so sometimes it can be frustrating when there is something about it like every paragraph). This was beautifully done and it is clear you did your research. I love Libby and Bucky’s banter, and the way you have written Winnifred. Really she reminds me of Mrs Weasley a bit. I hope soon you find inspiration to continue her story because oh my god it is brilliant and I am so excited for more!

let me start out with wow. i already adore libby. i love her and bucky’s brother/sister relationship. i can tell you have done loads of research on the 30s/40s to write this in all the little details of her room and her hat. plus omg steve is seriously such a blissfully unaware idiot. i mean THE DOMESTICITY of her doing his tie for him. and i adore that libby can’t cook because i think it adds something very interesting to her character since it is a time where women were expected to be the cooks of the household. seriously, libby is my favorite steve oc i think i have read in a very long time. and your writing is so beautiful! i could just go on about everything i loved. i wish on ffn you could give kudos but i suppose a comment will work just as well! so kudos! — stareyedplanet

GOD! i love how cute steve/libby are like they know each other so well i love how Libby just knows what he needs without a word. Also Bucky is the number 1 libby/steve shipper i love it. Also, you write Steve so well! His eulogy for his mum is so sad and so well-done, I could hear him saying it. Libby and Bucky's relationship continues to be so cute as well, I love how Bucky teases her. Also...that line about Bucy meeting his match...I'm not saying you have to but i would LOVE it if you wrote a bucky/oc...just saying I think it would be so good. Anyway, I loved this chapter and I can't wait for more!

It's taken me a while to get to actually reviewing this, but you have no idea how excited I was when i saw you were going to write a steve/oc and you did not disappoint! First of all, I love Bucky and Libby's relationship, teasing big brother bucky is so cute. The scene with Libby and her parents is so sweet as well. AND STEVE/LIBBY! I love them already they love each other so much it's so sweet i'm dying 3333 Like Libby making him breakfast? fixing his tie? adorable i love them!

Your story is super so far Jan! Libby is so sweet and it's interesting to see some of Steve's life before he became Captain America. I'm just really curious about how you'll have Libby involved in the latter parts of the story. Will she be in Europe involved with the war effort? Will something happen to her that keeps her young for seventy years, like Steve? Great job!

The funeral scene was very moving, and it showed how much everyone cared about Sarah. I really liked Steve's speech and what he said about his mother.
I love how incredibly supportive Libby is. That last part where she goes with Steve and comforts him while he's crying was my favorite. I also enjoyed Bucky and Libby teasing and annoying each other.
You've done a really good job at incorporating Libby into this universe. I can't wait to see what happens.
