This was the perfect way to end your incredible "The Devil's Lucky Number Series". Why? The metaphor of how being in love is not falling, but flying, because you mirrored Lucifer's journey with your own. His growth in his relationship with Chloe helped him learn to sour, and your tackling of this challenge helped you soar as well. As your loyal reader who was here from the first publication of this series, and having these wonderful little conversations with you, I can both see and feel how much you've grown as a storyteller. You embarked on this series, probably scared of falling, but you put love, time, and effort into it, and with that trust, you flew high enough to touch the stars. I think it's gorgeously poetic that it all ties together in this way, and I wanted you to know that. Thank you for this series, thank you for your time, and thank you for your presence. You are a star.

Now, onto this piece! I disagree; it's not 666 words of smut (please refer to my other reviews for more points about your amazing adult scene writing skills, hahaha), but 666 words of love, passion, growth, and light. This was completely a feel-good, happy, loving piece that you so eloquently and evocatively captured through your descriptions, dialogue, pacing, writing techniques, characterization, flawless pacing, etc. I don't know what to say because you conveyed the pure essence of Deckerstar, complete with Chloe being slightly teasing and a little coy, with Lucifer following her so willingly as he always does (and saying her name so tenderly!), the mutual respect and reverence for the other's touch, and the intimate connection they share. I adored how you wrote this sensual, romantic, tender scene (slow and lazy is so underrated!), showing their deep love for each other, with all those marvelous metaphors and other literary techniques (too many to list!)! It was classy, utterly romantic, tasteful, and made my heart burst with love for our adorable Deckerstar. I, of course, greatly appreciated the overarching plot of how Lucifer sees being in love with Chloe not as falling, but flying. It's especially meaningful because he's a fallen angel, and his love for Chloe is what redeems him, what makes him fly... including literally because his wings are the purest, most good part of him, and he can fly when he feels love. His shared love for Chloe is what makes him soar, both literally and figuratively, and it is such a perfect way to sign off on this devil series because our dear devil is also an angel, one who fell, but learned to fly again.

I have so much more to say, but I'm worried my internet is going to cut again, and I'm also rather emotional about this series being over. I'll truly miss this. You're right; this piece is an appropriate way to mark the end because we definitely need the happy amidst the darkest, most emotional season of Lucifer. I'll figure out this tumblr ask thing because I'm honestly not ready for us to end either. So, this is not goodbye, but "I'll see very, very you soon".
