I do hope you continue to write this story. It's very good, especially character-wise, and all the deviations from canon make sense and aren't just thrown in there by author fiat.

I like that they immediately realized it was a basilisk; it doesn't really make sense that no one would know basilisks can petrify.

Ehhhhhh. I dunno if I can see Hazel, after having just spent the summer with Snape and Dumbledore, going off and flying in a car with a boy she hadn't spoken to in a friendly way for months.

I don't know that I can see anyone flying the Ford Anglia instead of sending an owl, actually. It just makes no sense whatsoever.

I think this is the first time I've ever seen a Harry taken in by a Dumbledore who's actually consistent with book!Dumbledore.

I must admit, I enjoyed the story so far! It seems to be moving rather fast with unexpected turns of events every then or so, but it's nice to read. I'm hopeful about the relationship between Hazel and Ginnyjust so they may get close, whatever the love turns out to be. Looking forward to the next chapters!
