I like it, I hope the story doesn't end there

You keep saying Naruto has crimson eyes. Is anything else different about his appearance in your fic? I do like the showcasing of Shika's intellect, when he bothers to actually put it to use.

How did Shikamaru know so much, that Kakashi was once Naruto's guard and about Jiraiya's spy network and his absence in Naruto's life? Shikamaru only even noticed things about Naruto when they were first put in the same team, not before that. Well, unless perhaps Shikamaru is psychic? Who knows.

I can't wait to read more! Also I know it would be a bit early for you to use but I had a thought the other day that Nara's could pull off fantastically. So the people after Naruto are part of a group of (mostly) S-Rank missing ninja. So why has no body ever took a Bingo Book, singled out all the S-Ranks (maybe some high A-Ranks to), and then comprised as detailed of a list as possible to if not beat them then escaping?

I love how this story is starting! (and the original team 7 never really made much sense to me) I love ShikaNaru and a slow burn is actually what I needed (:

I know Shika is a genius, but how does he know so much about everything? He already knows about the Kyubi being sealed in Naruto, about Minato being his father, about Kakashi being there when he was a kid to protect him (and Kakashi's ties with Minato) and about Jiraiya being Naruto's godfather?
