Brilliant! I really like Overlord but Ainz sometimes is too much of a True Evil rather than a Lawful Evil to bear. I get the situation and everything but the disregard for humans is... well lets say I'm not that kind of Paragon.
Anyway, after the death of first adventurer party Ainz had encountered had already left me in shambles this on gave me the last shove into realizing that the only way to work with this was pretend this never happened and relish myself in fan-fiction instead.
So what's in this - it's warm, yet typically Overlord overpowering force. It explores the characters that I think we didn't really got a chance to enjoy in the show (aside from the novels, which I think are just fucked up all around), as well explore the possibility of Ainz actually investing in the people of the world he has found himself in - a factor which I find quite lacking in the show.
All in all, I really loved reading this.

I discovered Overlord through the anime, haven't read very far into the Light Novel yet, but I have just recently watched the episode with the fates of Arche and Foresight. I think the anime handled it well, it was sad and awful but not grotesque. It fut, it made sense.

Even so, I kinda wish your story had happened instead.
