While this is a nice and interesting blurb that I find good with a small but touching plot, there's a bit of a hole in it; a Power Core wouldn't be required to keep the frame from crushing a pilot to death in the T45/51/60 Power Armor. Power it, make it move faster, let you sprint and even jump-jet like you're iron man? Yes. But it wouldn't have crushed that BOS Soldier. The frame doesn't need power to exist/stay in shape. And a person can enter/exit without power (a hole in the game, but a necessary one).

Perhaps he is being crushed by something, is out of juice, and can't lift the thing off of him (burned-out hulking rusted wreck of a car that fell on him is always a good option, so is a building that finally gives away and partially collapses). Then you do the rescue that certainly does have an interesting bit of question; what do bitter enemies do when one saves the other?

I want the next chapter to be longer. I like it. Keep it up please
