I know that it's been years since you've probably even touched this story but it's still one of my favorites! If you ever find it in your heart to write again, I would love to see an update!

this is one of akind story that actually corresponds with the doa storyline and provides enough beginning background... yay for the ryuX kasumi... pls hurry and update...

w0w! I love your story! You make me want to be a better writer, haha! I like the way you portrayed all of the characters, their personalities and their actions...I started reading and had to finish. Funny, suspenseful, intelligent (kudos for the TS Eliot & Verdi allusions, among others) The only thing I could ask for is a better portrayal Ayane, she's my girl! But it's all good.

I read the first chapter of this story when it first came out, and I thought it was a one-shot. So I never did go back to read the next parts. And that was a total mistake. This has to be the best DOA fic here. Wonderful dialogue, descriptions, and characterization. It's not OOC - in fact, you're probably the only writer who didn't just stay in character - you fleshed out their personalities. I can picture Hayate as the big brother type, Kasumi the naive girl, Ryu...'nuff said about Ryu, he's sexy and philosophical at the same time *laughs* And Ayane...ah yes. I can feel her hatred. You have done what the game could not provide us, their backgrounds, their histories. And why they're fighting in each other.

THIS FIC IS WONDERFUL. I hope that gets through you. _;

The only thing I found at fault was it sometimes gets confusing how long has passed between scenes/chapters. _;

Looking forward to next...badly.

I really love this story. Fantastic. A good, healthy dose of Ryu, as well... risking repeating what nearly everybody else has said already... no... it'll basically be the same. Keep up the good work... and I hope you've sold some keychains by this stage, as well.

This story is so very well written. I hope you haven't discontinued it! I think you portrayed the characters well; I definately think that's what they'd be like when they were children. I'm also immensely liking the hints of Ryu/Kasumi you throw in...*grin* I'll be on the look out for the next update!

Great so far! I was wondering about just a few thing? ARe you going to factor in the ninja gaiden sub plot for Ryu? If so remeber ayane was fourteen at the time and risked a great deal to help him in that event. I would also like to see you do more with Ayane in future chapters. but thats just me I'm a big Ayane fan sorry. Otherwise it flows qiute nicely and I thing you have a good insight and feel for the charactors in general. keep up the great work.

Good of you to update, the chapter was nicely emotional of the topic of Hayate's problem and pointing out the changes in the character is interesting as well.

As well as to the reason why Hayate has become distant is interesting as well.

I really like this story. The only thing that I found confusing was how much time passes between each chapter. Great story though. I love Kasumi/Ryu! Update quickly!

good story but kasumi is really childish and ryu is slightly out of character

its so good i dont even write stories yet bevause im still afraid that sum1 will say that they suck !
