I can't believe I haven't reviewed this before, as I must have read it a dozen times. It's one of all time favourite one shots, and probably my absolute favourite depiction of Darvey children. This story has a perfect balance of romance and humour...and it really is so funny in places.

Specter and Litt kids: how cute! They all inherited some of the characteristics of their parents for our own pleasure. Well done creating a completely new universe in a few thousand words!

Wow, family fanfics are the best. I somehow would love to see this one continued if there was anyway! I think it’s such a good storyline with an already established family showing the struggles of married life and family life for Harvey and Donna. Seriously amazing writing!

The first time I read this one word sprang to mind - refreshing. Writing a prompt is harder than it looks, but the way you made it your own, and the spin you put on it is just amazing. And the way you wrote it, it's so vivid, I could actually see the statue head rolling across the floor, and the children's faces. It was funny, but you also feel a little sorry for them. Speaking of the kids, you have them nailed to a T. Firstly, this is exactly how I pictured the Specter-Paulson kids - with mom's sass and dad's ego, could they be any different? They're a handful, or two hands full in this case, but they are not out and out brats - it's a fine line to tread and you've done it well. I am in awe at how you managed to create these two little characters, giving us a real sense of them in so few words. That's true talent, my friend. We even get a sense for Charlie, though he doesn't feature much. You did that in just a couple of sentences. Of course Amanda would subpoena Santa, and I wish we could see Gordon making Louis cry.

Ah, Louis. In all of fanfic, you characterize him best. I'll never look at him, here or on the show, and not think "shimmy". Now you've added bird shit face cream to the mix ;)

The family dynamic you created is so spot on. Harvey and Donna are still Harvey and Donna, but parenting is taking a toll, especially twins with a third on the way. Raising kids are hard. A poignant moment for me was Harvey watching the game, but his mind is on his wife and kids. That was so sweet. He's so whipped. And then there's that little sexy moment between them. Ug, my heart.

As a side note - Thanks for using one of my favorite songs.

And then you saved the best for last. "She wants to say I love you, but it doesn't feel like enough. It never has. So she simply smiles at him and he smiles back, like they have so many times from across the office, through the threshold of an elevator, while drinking together in the dark, because there are no words for this love, for their companionship, only these moments." - This sums up, so perfectly, what's always been between them, no matter how much AK tries to resist.

Amazing. And hilarious! I love the way you characterized the twins. I could totally see Darvey kids being little trouble makers. The dialogue between Harvey and Donna is so on point and realistic.
