I have just finished chapter 9 and I have been waiting to see a bit more of the intelligent Elizabeth from canon. Lizzy was given the chance to walk safely away from Darcy's kidnapping and sound the alarm.
Instead, she tells Wickham she will sound the alarm and he kidnaps her too. How could she think threatening him was a better idea then getting to safety and alerting the magistrate? Then, when they do escape with 4 hours,she loses the reins to the 2 horses they are trying to ride away on. The escape is more farcial then daring.

Wouldn't Darcy take a posse of men with him? Going off alone seems foolish.

This is by far my favorite p & p fanfic and i enjoyed reading it and finding myself backtracking a lot because i kept reading ahead to find what happens next. Really impressive work and hope to read more from you soon

I loved your story. It was an adventurous read and wonderfully written.

To think that I have been waiting for an update on this marvellous story and it was completed two weeks ago!
However I have just noticed that this story and a couple of others that I am following are not appearing in the updates list. I had put all three on my list of favourites and the updates do appear there. I only follow Regency P&P stories so I don't know if the problem extends to Modern P&P or other Genres.
The three stories are:- Cinder Lizzy, Escape with Mr Darcy and Midnight Embrace. Has anyone else noticed this problem?

Interesting approach to the classic meeting and eventual union between Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett.
