Further to my first review, I was watching a TV programme about travel and apparently in Iceland, their version of Santa is a horned demon - a pretty scary one too if the carved wooden masks are anything to go by.

So Annatar is a bad Santa who will take away naughty elflings. Interesting. This must have been before he was corrupted by Melkor.

Personally, I have long felt that there is something creepy about a strange old man in a red suit who sneaks into your house whilst you are asleep. I much preferred the knowledge that it was actually my parents who came into my bedroom and left presents at the foot of my bed (I woke up and saw them).

Haha, that is quite an interesting take on things! :) And if elves didn't have that perfect memory they seem to have... or if Eregion did fall so fast and throroughly that nobody knew the cause... then perhaps it could be so?
