Reviews for Eavesdropping
ocomhdhain1 chapter 17 . 7/29
That went way different then i thought it was, i honestly thought bakugo had a plan, such as.

Bakugo: "All right, that damn nerd is going to want to lure me away and scatter this damn team, so what i want you all to do is pretend to be scattered, let the damn nerd's team get a hostage, and swoop in at the last moment and get the hostage for yourselves while i fight deku."
tattoedangel chapter 25 . 6/1
Great fic, right amount of romance vs. action.
The PhantomHokage chapter 25 . 5/15
Loved the story it was amazing
Guest chapter 20 . 4/24
The only exception would've been perfect for that part, but I understand not being able to work it in. The song just fits Jiro perfectly.
TrueAlpha chapter 25 . 4/19
Not a Deku x Jiro fan. Sorry
Alex chapter 8 . 4/19
I don't like the end of the fight. If Jiro and Ururaka really fought clearly Ururaka would win with her combat. As soon as she got up to Jiro, Jero would have lost. Jero has no combat and is slow so she would of been mostly likely kicked in the ribs and punched in the face she would of been battered.
SilverLux3264 chapter 25 . 4/12
Its been awhile since I've read this story. So I went through it again and it was an absolute treat. Thank you so much for writing this. The simple happy ending was the cherry on top. Keep up the good work. Love your fics
Angry Santo chapter 25 . 4/8
Pretty great fic. Felt like you did justice to the characters. Had a smattering of spelling mistakes but what can you do.

Overall, pretty great.
shiningmoonslayer chapter 25 . 3/27
This was an amazing story from beginning to end I don’t know how or y you consider it a dumpster fire you made the relationship of Izuku and kyoka very believable and well grounded in reality it’s a same you didn’t continue on into their married life, which I was kind of looking forward to, but nonetheless it’s I enjoyed the ride and I can’t wait to see what other amazing and beautifully told stories of my hero academia that you’ll produce. I eagerly look forward to any and all future works u may have and I hope that every day of your life is filled with joy and laughter and when life knocks you down I hope you have the courage to stand back up no matter the case. Believe in yourself and those willing to help
Guest chapter 19 . 3/25
Wait, that's it ? She is ok with it and let's move on ?
That's both unbelievable and disappointing. What's the point of building this whole : she hid her relationship because she feared Ochako's reaction during whole chapters if there isn't any reaction nor any consequence ? It's really underwhelming.
I'm not saying it has to become angsty (even if it would have made far more sense) but having Ochako at least take her distance with Kyoka and Izuku would have made sense since well... I don't know, they broke her heart ?
But this everything is perfectly fine and let's not worry about it ? It just feel fake.
J. R. Castle chapter 17 . 3/9
I know the story's complete, but just for posterity's sake...

I've been enjoying this so far. Izuku and Kyoka's relationship feels very natural and earned, though I'd say that Izuku's romantic interest came somewhat out of left field—we were in Kyoka's head the whole time and seeing where her feelings came from, but when Izuku's feelings for her were revealed it came off as rather convenient. To be honest, Ashido's entire matchmaking was a bit too direct for me; while I know the drama of getting the two together might be a bit annoying, I think that space also offers a really great opportunity for characterization and development. There's a reason most romance stories end when the couple gets together, after all—the interesting bits are usually in the will-they-won't-they part. Even if we all know they ultimately will, the journey is what makes it worth reading. But whatever, their relationship is still solid for what it is, and I like the focus you place on Izuku getting over his shy demeanor. Their interaction is very believable, and it's all very fun and fluffy and well-written on a scene-to-scene level.

Some small comments though. The revelation of secrets is a bit much. Like, does it really matter if invisible girl knows about OFA? She doesn't seem like an important character at all, and at this point nothing she can do would justify this bit of tension.

And the Bakugou thing. Honestly, it's what made me want to stop reading here, even if overall it's not too important of a plot point. How does this contribute to the story? I guess Izuku got over his inferiority complex, but this development isn't really expounded upon or highlighted during this final conflict. Plus, is this really in character for Bakugou at this point? He's a brat, but if it's after the sports festival I don't see him being this outwardly malicious anymore. I get you don't like him in some kind of personal moral sense, but it really feels like a cop-out to just kick him out of the story like this, particularly since you admit up front that you understand the value and intrigue he brings as a character. You could've just not had him in the story much at all; doing this comes across as strangely vindictive and bashy in all the worst generic fanfic ways, and I consider this story to be better than that.

Anyway, I had fun making it here. All I can say is I understand the urge to punish characters we don't like, but ultimately the story should take precedence, right?
The Dark Eccentric chapter 25 . 2/28
Great ending to the fic! I totally thought that celebration at the start was their wedding until you revealed it was the unveiling of the top ten. Surprised Kirishima was down in the 90s. Felt like he would have at least been in the top 30. I'd say it was just Bakugo dragging him down if Tetsutesu weren't also in down there. Curious where Bakugo was before he was suspended...
Anyway! Love what you did with the characters and everything. Sure if might not have been perfect but it was pretty damn good for being your first fic written to completion.
Great job.
The Dark Eccentric chapter 24 . 2/28
Loving the fluff. You said you're not good at it but I think it's pretty great. You might overuse the line if their faces going red, but aside that I think it's pretty great. It's simple and good. Don't need over the top declarations or anything. Just the simple day to day is good. Suppose it did develop a little fast because of the time skips at the end. Heh, and I might've liked to see more of "Eri Aizawa".
The hero couple is great though like this.
That "Chronicle" quirk though is kind of insance. Thw rest are simple and make sense, but Chronicle is kond of absurd. Just absorb the knowledge of anyone he touches. Especially considering he worked with a nanotech genius. Suppose he doesn't necessarily get the intelligence to understand it, but still.
The Dark Eccentric chapter 18 . 2/27
Hey, don't see what you're down about. I really liked the chapter. Then again, I'm a sucker for fluff. Didn't feel too rushed or anything. Any longer and it might've dragged. I think it was perfect.

Also just remembered I forgot to say in my first review since I'd been planning to wait til the end. All the stuff with Mina and Momo setting them up was fantastic. I said "god dammit Mina" to myself so many times reading through all that XD
She was great.
The Dark Eccentric chapter 17 . 2/27
This was a really good chapter. I've never liked Bakugo much myself. Not sure I'd go so far as to write him out of a story, but I can see why you'd not want to deal with him interfering in all this. And better yet, neither Midoroya or Bakugo felt out of character here to me. I could see Midoriya doing this as a tactical choice and Bakugo's temper would not let him stop the fight when the teacher's declare him out since him and Midoriya were still alone.
Heck, Tokage complaining she could still fight was sort of foreshadowing someone might not be so passive in feeling that.
Do almost feel bad for Bakugo though. As horrible as he is, this is like his worst fears coming true. He told Jiro he hates Deku for "looking down on him". And while Deku doesn't actually, being taunted by him into fighting, then getting defeated so soundly must've sucked. Then being told he could get ezpelled for retaliating while Deku casually walked away...kicked while he was down. I can see why this would put him out of the story because like...even if he's not expelled he'd be pretty emotionslly destroyed by that.
Looking forward to more Fluff now though XD
