It is now 5am and I have reached the proverbial end. All I have to say really is good shit. It's entertaining to read, the original work is interesting enough to carry the other side of the cross and the MC is fun and pretty well done for all the things you're doing with her backstory and power wise.

I can't honestly say if I would be interested in reading the actual original work, mostly because it sounds pretty depressing. Part of the reason I like River as much as I do here is because she's making a genuine effort to improve herself and be more than what she was. That's fun to read for me. Well also that and the backstory is already pretty spoiled from reading this so the mystery isn't really there anymore. I'd probably still give it a try because I do find River fun.

I could find nitpicks if I really wanted to but honestly most of those would be opinion based and not structural problems with the writing besides some SPAG stuff.

Basically I enjoyed reading it and thanks for writing it and putting it out there to read.

Okay I did check the next chapter so I do know where you're going with this, but it's kinda very railroaded. She has friends, she can bum some money off of them. After all of the effort and self hate she's put herself through trying to be a Hero and not fall back on old habits her falling back on old habits over half a US dollar is kinda absurd.

My expert opinion is that the Yen number needs to be much higher than 50 xD. (A fair mistake if you don't actually use Yen or regularly think about it, but it is pretty SOD breaking to have a crisis over two quarters.)

Again sorry for nitpicking, I do it because I care. (If I didn't like your work I wouldn't be reading it in the first place, this isn't my favorite of your works but it's still a fun read. The Avatar one has probably been my favorite, that was top stuff. Can't remember if I left a review on that).

So this is fun, I enjoy reading it. That said I have some...questions? Criticisms?

The beginning could probably stand to be either cut entirely and peppered in throughout, or be made longer. As it stands it's just a bit too short to really sell the emotional swings she goes through. She goes from weird angel pact and being burnt to death by her tool of a fiance to being an abnormally bubbly and cheerful teenage girl really fast. I wouldn't have minded a slower start to show her getting over the hump so to speak and starting her new life before we got to UA. That said I acknowledge this is fanfiction and you need to grab peoples attention or they stop reading, im just weird and like slow burn starts.

Only other thing is the application of her bubbyness. Like the kissing twice on the cheek, that's the realm of serial killers. I'm exaggerating, but that was honestly just weird. I'm getting manic pixie dream girl vibes from that scene which may just be me but unless there's some forbidden romance with her older insane supervillain neighbor in the future of this fic I think you could have gotten that across without the cheek kissing.

Again, minor stuff. Everything else works well and is enjoyable to read. It's just easier to write more words about negatives than positives.

Bro legit, when you said that the OC was gonna be OP af I was really worried it would go all ‘Mary sue’ on me but I was eagerly mistaken! This fic is fucking amazing! From the character arcs to the style of writing, it’s perfect!

i love this chapter her interaction with the girls, River realizing that she shouldnt isolate herself, the way she describe her love for them, it was so sweet yet so sad that there is still a part of her that is detached. I really love the way you write, it's so beautiful—kind of nostalgic even, and the short metaphorical stories that had left me either thinking who is being pertained to or how it fits to River's personality and even current dilemna.

I just want to get this out of my chest, i love how despite having an obvious edge compared to the other kids of bnha, she still has her weaknesses and some of her problems lies internally, bits about her past makes it much better and her interaction with the characters are gold, so soft—wholesome, the small details where they can rely with one another, it makes me wanna cry, especially parts when you have to remind us that some of these characters are still children, no matter how powerful or mature they seem to be, they feel real—when they're afraid and it's okay, that's normal. When I first read the summary, I thought River will just be another overpowered character with a bland personality, but she isnt. She's still human and as complex as one, and not only her, as you gave much more depth to the canon characters. Thank you for this story, I've yet to finish it but I'm just so in awe that I just want to say all of this.

I just started reading this and its amazing. You are such a competent writer. Everything is so well written. My only concern is the main character being OP, but the main conflict seems to be her secrets and herself in general, so I'm not worried about that. I love it.

Hey, I've really enjoyed reading your fic! There are so many new things happening and it's just like, woah! A total rollercoaster. It's such fun to read your fics, and it's quite an immersive experience. You're talented! River is such an OP character, I agree, but it's so fun to read her! I’ve been obsessed with this story ever since I stumbled across it :) I love river’s interactions with everyone and I hope she can smooth things out with tomura and the LoV soon :/ I loved those chapters where she went back to America and met the four horsemen (and that good omens reference!), she is so interesting and I know in the summary you said she was op, but she is so well written that it doesn’t feel forced or cringe the way it sometimes can :D I can’t wait for the next chapter!

Right now, I am writing this from a 3ds. It's odd, I know. However, I just wanted to say that I absolutely adored this story, and I am hoping that you continue to write more like it. And, who knows, maybe even a sequel to this one.
