Reviews for When the Winter Winds Blow

Great little one-shots. I agree, Mordred is such an underrated (not to mention underused) character from the show. Tying up loose ends to gaps within stories can be fun to do, and you have managed to wrap things up really well. It's nice to have a little exploration into his shifty personality and explore his journey to where he needed to be with support from the druids; those of which will soon lead him to gain full power over Camelot and later the destruction of the kingdom.

Keep up the fantastic work, Jill! You're doing great! :)

I like how you let us take this ride from Mordred's point of view. How he questions Ragnor about Morgana, as she was always so kind to him. It must have been a shock to find out later on how she changed. Love your "missing scenes" where he suddenly realises it's Arthur and Emrys, and the way Merlin regards him. That he feels it straight away. I want to see the episode again now. Thanks. :-)

You're always really good at writing for Mordred. You made me understand him when I had to try and write him myself for Dragon's Horn. You did a great job. You still do. The way he meets Kara, and leaves her to get away from what he feels as a "prison", but then finds out the outside world is a prison as well, and he can't use his magic in the open. Yep, nice bit of writing. Goes well with that Mordred wallpaper you did. :-)

Hey Jillcb. This was quick! Like the idea of exploring the character of Mordred. He was quite a lone and in ways lost. I cannot help but feel Merlin should have taken him under his wing instead of pushing him away. If only he had not seen the prophecy it may well have turned out differently.
Enjoyed the first instalment. Thanks.
