I've never thought much of a friendship between Ron and Neville specifically, as Ron always seemed to be the first to poke fun at Neville when they were younger, but this is really sweet. I do like seeing this refreshing side to Ron where he doesn't want to see a friend alone at Christmas. Of course Christmas is such a big family thing for the Weasleys.

Kind of wish there was more Molly fussing over Neville interaction! It was interesting to imagine Neville taking up a job in the DMLE, I've always imagined he'd go straight into Herbology, but it does kind of make sense. I liked the little pre-nudge at why Ron may eventually leave being an Auror, too.

This was wonderful! I was so sad that Neville lost Gran, but Ron's always been the supportive one. He knew just what to do, and it made me nostalgic to see Mrs. Weasley fussing over Neville like he was her eighth child. It was so sweet and amazing. And honestly, seeing Neville gush about plants the way any Potterhead babbles about HP was hilarious, especially since Ron had no concept of having an interest in Herbology. What a little nerd! Great fic.

Okay so I really liked this. Neville is of course a little duckling that must be protected at all costs and I was sad to see him alone for Christmas. The Burrow was the perfect place for him to go because Molly is the sort to always be able to add another place setting.

I like how you've portrayed Ron here, trying to be interested in Neville's own interests even if they bore him, trying to be supportive - because we all know Ron has no interest in Herbology. You've got his character written really well, and it's nice to see the inclusion of other characters without you forcing them to be a major part of the story.

No mistakes, the story moved at a steady pace and you did well written them sitting around eating (I find writing meals to be quite hard). :)

Huh, I was expecting to smile at the end of this, but it turns out I feel a lot better about the day lol It's nice to see Ron being the focus (despite it being the requirement), especially since he's grown on me over the time. With Ron and Neville being the interaction pair, I'm happy to see what angle you took it. It's very cute and fluffy as friendships and growing friendships could be, and it deserves a job well done my friend :)

This was so sweet. I haven’t read a lot about Ron and Neville’s friendship, but I really liked it a lot. I feel like the Golden Trio’s bond can so easily eclipse their other relationships because the trio is so central to the main narrative, but it’s so nice to see Neville still being pulled into the group, especially at a time in his life when he’s feeling isolated. The Weasleys are so great at making people feel like family, and it really warmed my heart. I liked the hints of Neville’s upcoming occupation change; it was a nice way to show the urgency they must have all felt in cleaning up after the war, but once the clean up was finished, facing what it is they actually wanted to do with their lives. Lovely job!

You captured Ron and Neville beautifully. Actually, you captured everyone wonderfully, I'd say. The dynamic between them was excellent as well.

This was an interesting piece to read. We don't see much interaction between Ron and Neville aside from the D.A. so seeing that their friendship further developed into their adulthood was nice, even if it came off as more of a strong acquaintance relationship more than anything.

I think it is a Ron thing to do in inviting Neville along to the Burrow for a holiday celebration as a courtesy, but knowing that it was needed for Neville and all but insisted was a lovely touch.

At first I thought that poor Neville was having marital problems based on how he was behaving, and even though he mentions her here and there and needing to discuss travel, it seems like it might still be the case once I finished reading your story? She leaving him behind for Thailand during the holidays is so strange to me, but I am sure you didn't intend for it to come off that way, though. Also he wishing to move to China and mentioned having to be away from her for so long I wonder what would keep her from going as well?

This was a good story. You have Molly fussing over him, and the general topics of conversation during the holiday meal was very natural and lighthearted. Perfect time to read as we enter holiday season!

This was just as sweet as it was when I was reading over it for QL. I love the friendship between Neville and Ron, how Ron just couldn't leave Neville alone during the holiday.

Their interactions was so lovely. I love that you had this before Neville decided to leave the Aurors. It was a really nice time for this, where we get to see Neville dislike being an Auror, but having so much passion for Herbology. It was clear to see that that where his heart truly was. And Ron and his family being supportive about it was amazing.

I liked the mention of NevilleHannah. I wanted more of that. And also Romione, for that matter.

This was so sweet and fluffy and I love it.

I really love the idea of Neville joining the Ministry because he wanted to help, even though he's not really passionate about it. His and Ron's conversation about what they really want to do was probably my favorite part of this, and I love the idea of Neville going to a herbology program overseas and pursuing his love of plants instead of staying at the Ministry.

Not many fanfics seem to focus on (or really mention at all) Neville and Ron's friendship, so I think it's awesome that you wrote about it here. I think you did a good job portraying their dynamics with each other, and I love that Ron was able to recognize that Neville was upset and invited him to the Burrow instead.

(Oh, and I love the little detail of Hermione and Charlie discussing a possible new bill. I can easily imagine how passionately she probably is talking about it.)

This is so cute omg! The Neville-Ron friendship is so undervalued and this was really nice. I loved how Ron's personality even seeped into the non-dialogue sections. I love the line where Ron's trying to be supportive of the Shanghai program, it was so spot-on for him. You gave a lot about the characters here in such a short fic, too, which was gr8. You managed to build a nice relationship between them where they just help support each other and it's so pure. This fic is so cute, beautifully done xx
