...Whew. Okay. Holy... freaking... crap. I was so close, Rex. I was close to closing my laptop screen. Sweet holy jesus, if he had actually raped her... on top of EVERYTHING... just... oh my god. Some things are better left a mystery. I don't know WHAT I would have done. Maybe cried. Maybe thrown up. But good lord, this was 100% pure all natural HORROR. You had me on the edge of my seat, shuddering with terror at the graphic events occuring. I seriously, SERIOUSLY thought this was going to be the worst case scenario ever devised.

...But holy shit, Rex. From the deepest, darkest pit of misery and hopelessness, you reached a holy hand in and dragged me back out. Thank GOD for that goddess ex-machina. THANK GOD FOR IT. My heart was about to give out as I thought Kensou had died in her arms. That would have been awful... so awful T_T

Okay, let me collect myself here. I...I really don't have much else to say. I'm just so incredibly VERY grateful that you rescued me from that horrific scene. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for making everything turn out okay in the end. You just displayed the highest level of suspense-building and then subsequent resolution. You genuinely had me feeling the terror and hopelessness before you switched things around in a snap. So kudos to you for that. It was really well done.

Ho hooo man! KU. DOS. TO. ATHENA. That girl does not quit! She doesn't know the meaning of quit even if she grabbed a dictionary. What a warrior, she is! She truly puts the "soldier" in Psycho Soldier: fighting on, despite the reality that she could die at any moment.

What made this so intriguing was how she didn't just not give up... she learned. She adapted and overcame (another soldier philosophy). It took multiple times of failure and punishment, but it only motivated her to try new things until she finally succeeded. Truly brilliant stuff here, Rex.

One thing that I will admit threw me off a bit... despite the countless torture, captivity, and physical/mental trauma, I thought she would be fatigued like no other. But somehow, she had seemingly unlimited energy to be able to pull off her Psycho abilities one after the other. I guess that can be attributed to her heart though, yeah? Athena never quits D

...What a bummer of an ending tho lol. Freakin Kensou... he never gets a break. Once again he proves to be the incompetent stooge of the duo. And after "Botan" :(

Anyway, this chapter was a goddamn Rolodex of Athena's powers, which was really rad. I liked seeing (reading) her go through the catalog and use each one accordingly. And, of course, she was taking out guys left and right, which just makes her look like a badass... and I don't even LIKE this character WHAT IS THIS?!

This is sadistic art, for sure. It's good for what it is, and I do mean that as a compliment. You have succeeded with flying colors at what you're trying to accomplish here. It's just... unexpected O_O Rex Madison, torturing Athena... what kind of reality is this?!

I will keep reading, for multiple reasons. One, I want to see how Athena gets out of this. And two... I want to see your limit, Rex. I want to see how far you will go. I want to see what you're willing to do to Athena Asamiya, your SNK bae. The fact that you're capable of THIS speaks a lot already o_o

This chapter is a very sort of nerve-wracking read because I honestly had no idea of WHAT the hell these guys had in mind for Athena. I mean, I still don't (obviously) so I'm still a bit worried but whatever. But, like, if you've managed to make ME worry, then you've done something right. Also, I had to laugh at "Dazzler" because I see what you did there! ;)

First of all, I feel like you overreacted big time to this whole canon thing lol. I mean, just my opinion, but it's not that big a deal what she's capable of in certain sources. In the end, it's all still ATHENA. But, that doesn't matter now. All that matters is that it inspired you to write a story, and that is good. We get our inspiration from crazy things : )

Onto the story... I like how this is in the same continuity as The Deal. She's still lovey-dovey with Kensou, her parents still abandoned her... and that knife-in-the-eye story sounded really familiar. That was in The Deal too, right? o_o

The villain of this story is... a lot simpler than I expected. It's no black-wearing caped narcissist of anything like that... she just pissed off the motherfreaking Yakuza. Heh. Very down to earth.

Firstly, Mr Yakuza (& company) drugged the bottled water via syringe through the cap In the giant, empty gym. Sie has been waiting there for Athena, so given Yak was following Athena to the gym and took a side route. He cannot have gotten to the water without kensou seeing him. It's not like he can just walk past them as they're fighting and stab their bottles w/o them noticing. (Does Yakuza have psychic powers?) . If they decided to drink in a break room or smth, it'd be fine. But they're literally on the sidelines. Maybe you have a plot about how they got to the bottles, but I dunno.

K enough about petty story inconsistencies. (Or me being autistic and reading wrong) U hate me yet?

A story involving Athena that actually appears to be pretty damn grounded in reality in terms of what's legitimately terrifying? Sign me the fuck UP! I am HERE for this! As always, your writing is clear and very succinct; it's very easy to jump right in and imagine this stuff happening.
