I like how you never let us forget that "Ash Ketchum" the klutz was still in there like with the whole unevolved Pokemon comment xD
Ashka was a far more relate able character than Ash ever was ._. which is sad on one hand but props to you on the other. I was actually worried for a minute since you avoided battles so much after the start, but honestly her placements and the importance of the conference was more important. The only battle and skip I was saddened by was the Giovanni one and capture escape part. Reason being (imo) that that incident was the culmination of the turning point on her relationship with other humans.

Hey, I ended up reading the whole fic up to this point, and I have to say I am really enjoying it. Ashka is both so much like and different from Canon!Ash at the same time. She's a sweet kid with a love and passion for pokemon; but also a trouble magnet. She's also NOT Ash, and reacts to many of the events much differently than he had in the show.
I always thought Charmander was a touchy subject for Gen!1. Abandonment, and hints of abuse on a kids show? Mind you, by Gen!7 dark elements were considered common, but that was one of the harder hitting episodes aired in the US. I know some others are much worse (like the Lavender Town episode or the BANNED ones that weren't ever aired in the US), but the ones involving abandonment and abuse always hit me hard for some reason. Its one of the reasons why Guzma from Gen!7 catches my attention so much. I always thought Charmander should've had some kind of issue or problem from his time with Damien. Abuse always leaves a mark that doesn't fade, be it physical, mental, or emotional. One could take Charmeleon, and eventually Charizard, for showing the mental and/or emotional scars left behind with how he treated Ash once he evolved. Your version, however, shows another way Charmander could have ended up. In this version, he may never become Charizard.
Something I wondered in this was what happened with Squirtle and Bulbasaur. Did Ashka just not encounter them for some reason? I know your fic had a bunch of events skipped, but Bulbasaur and Squirtle were a part of Canon!Ash's team for a long time. Maybe it's just me, but some of the episodes with the main team were big character developing ones (like Bye Bye Butterfree). Will Ashka ever encounter the Squirtle Squad or the Hidden Pokemon Village?
Also, with Rota and the tournament comes Lucario. Since Ashka is a girl, will she still wear the same costume and get mistaken for the Hero of Rota? Or will she have a different one? Will Lucario join her team like many fans had hoped before the end of the movie dashed those dreams?
Sorry for the long review. These were just the ones I wanted to mention right now. I might jump around more in future reviews though, just to warn you.

Short chapter, but good for a quick transition.

You should remove the info about Ash's team from this chapter and instead put it in your profile, with a statement of what chapter it corresponds to. It takes up far too much space in the chapter, making the chapter seem much longer than it actually is when first opened, and is just padding the word count. Also, as a quick formatting suggestion for the list: keep all the moves in one line, separated by commas, semicolons, or periods if you really prefer; double-spacing all of the moves takes up way too much space.
