Aw. I love the mix of prose and free verse. There's just something about poetry that gets those things across that prose just can't quite match. Also, I LOVE the acrostics, especially the contradictory ones back in chapter 2. Awesome job.

Oh, wow, I've missed A LOT. But, my heart, these past few chapters…. the way you depict their trauma, their recovery, their setbacks and their relationship, their friendship, throughout all of that...and the way you ended this fic (oh, I'm so, so proud of them)….coupled with every little free verse poem, the symbolism and messages layered beneath ...gods, I have no words. This is, hands-down, one of the most intense, raw, powerful pieces of writing that I've ever read. Truly. I'm stunned. Which, true, is nothing new, but, gods I'm completely, utterly overwhelmed and just... so, so amazed. This was incredible, Mnemosyne. Devastatingly tragic and heartbreaking, yet breathtakingly beautiful all the very same. Bless you for sharing this. 3 Thank you. 3

"Not all kittens and rainbows?" Yeah, no shit. Understatement of the year. I mean...Bloody hell. This was worse than I anticipated – and I expected it to be downright heartbreaking. But...THIS? RIP, my heart. The vivid descriptions, the raw intensity from the very beginning, how you depict Natsu's thoughts and feelings in the aftermath, the haunting /phantom flashbacks, how traumatized he is...How traumatized they BOTH are. The nuances you put into Gray's portrayal (the papers – oh, Gray) and his façade, how he immediately tries comfort/distract Natsu from his guilt, pretending everything's fine, when it's so obviously NOT OK. And, gods, that...THAT freeverse ending...I have no words. Truly. This was even more haunting than the first chapter. I didn't even think that was possible, but, christ, the trauma in this is heavy enough to sink ships.

Honestly, the way you showcased here the possible ramifications of something as traumatizing like that...Not to mention how you showcased how, sometimes, the lack of evidence over what happened, can sometimes be even more difficult (especially when you've got two people who avoids talking about their feelings, their fears, like the plague...)...the way you showcased and highlighted both of those elements at the same time, so intensely, is absolutely harrowing. In the literal sense. I just love the brutal honesty in this and how you match it with such a poignant writing-style and again that freeverse. It makes the emotional impact so powerful and real and raw and just...gods. My head's a mess and my heart feels so, so heavy I can't even. *flails* Beyond a doubt, this was a masterpiece. 3

Waking up to see that you updated this work made me day a lot better because I love they way you're torturing this poor little sould. I already feel so bad for both of them. I think Gray is afraid that Natsu will burn him again and he avoids him. I'm really curious how are the going to deal with this. I feel like they need to talk this through and the way I know you it's going to be very sad. But in the end I wouldn't want it any other way.

Oh boy. I can already see this’ll be another emotional, angst-inducing wrecking-ball of a story.
I mean…just this very first chapter...christ. The way it went from lighthearted banter and typical Nastu shenanigans to full-on angst-filled suspense…. only to end with THAT free verse. Bloody hell. The emotions there…the despair, the fear…that was almost tangible. Eerie certainly, and so, so powerful. I have no words. I’m still feeling the chills running up and down my back. *shudders*

I just love it when you experiment like this. Hands down, I think this is one of the most nerve-wrecking, nail-biting beginnings of yours to date. I'm completely transfixed. And waiting in eager anticipation for the next chapter xD Utterly haunting, yet delightful work, hon ;)
