I continue to really enjoy the dynamic you created here as well as the balance between the angst and the smut. Both Owen’s letting her storm off and his resultant gut punch were very much in-character. Likewise, Claire’s recognition of her ridiculousness was perfect. I liked how the flower banter broke the ice before they segued into serious yet still appropriately awkward defining of the feelings. Owen’s understanding of Claire’s mood and the line about “as if a spell had been cast by his words” were so very lovely. The communication in all aspects of their budding relationship is a continuous process of improvement, and it’s refreshing to read your take on the beginning of their journey.

I’m really enjoying this different take on the JW aftermath. Their dynamic is completely believable, but I don’t think I’ve read an interpretation quite like this before. We have some similar thoughts about how Owen felt about Claire after the dateboy toy”). I’m still drawn to exploring their pre-JW relationship in my own writingLooking forward to seeing what further “trouble” you get them into!
