This is pretty long story that you wanted some feedback on, so I read the first handful of chapters to start off. Since there are dozens of chapters after this some of the things I say may no longer be applicable, but I just want to get my thoughts out.

For a first story this is written pretty well. There are some grammatical and spelling mistakes here and there, but that's to be expected. I have them, too. No big deal. It flows decently well, and it's perfectly sufficient where It doesn't negatively impact the reading experience. You could be more descriptive and touch up the dialogue to make it flow better, but that may get gradually improved as I keep reading.

My biggest complaint would have to be the interview quotes that you insert randomly in the middle of the chapters. I understand what you tried to do, but... why include it? I cant think of anything it adds to the fic. It greatly harms the immersion of the story for me when I have to break off the actual chapter to read them. It also removed the possibility of any tension. From my understanding, it's Sarada and Boruto recounting what they were thinking after the fact. So, that means both of them definitely survive. We kind of figure they do, but any battle after this with them involved will be devoid of any suspense. I personally hope the quotes don't continue.

Comedy also seems a bit out of place. I don't know, they just didn't do anything for me. Levity is a good tool to cut the tension, but the humor needs to have depth or it will just feel like it was haphazardly added in. Again, this may very well be something that improves drastically as I continue reading.

Now, for the actual story. It's interesting, and I'm curious to see what time the gang has been sent back to. At first, I thought it was right after the Pain Invasion since we're seeing Inari and Tazuna in the Leaf, but now I'm not so sure. Naruto is definitely around Bouto's age given Ayame's reaction, and acts like she hasn't see him in a while. I'll guess that Naruto hasn't returned from his training with Jiraiya yet. It will probably be revealed next chapter, so I'll definitely be waiting to see that.

The only thing I worry about is Boruto's place in the story. If it's post 4th War, then I think he fits in well. If it isn't, I think he's too strong and will dust the Akatsuki pretty easily. Jougan and Karma Seal Boruto is ridiculously powerful. After all, he went head to head with Kawaki who seemingly destroyed the Leaf Village. Also, is Momoshiki still a threat to use the Karma Seal to takeover Boruto's body? A lot of potential issues, but also a lot of potential if handled correctly.

Overall, a good start.

It's really interesting! And really well thought-out thus far! I think it's harder than it seems to write time-travel fics (I've tried before, wasn't good at it), and you've started the flow of the story very well. Keep it up!

Don't bother with the fillers or movies in my opinion. As a fellow writer, I know how hard it is to adapt the naruto manga and anime alone, and I think you'll just exhaust yourself if you tried to adapt the fillers that do nothing to contribute to the plot. Take your time to rest and plan the next arc, I can't wait to see what will happen next!
