Reviews for The Lion's Charge
Ariyah chapter 1 . 7/29
I recognized Peter's miraculous escape in here, with a sprinkling of Paul and Silas in there too.
I liked that proverb about dealing fairly before just judges.
Your adjustments to "may he live forever" to fit each situation are positively hilarious, while at the same time, communicate the terror of the speaker.
I rather think Peter would know better than to be so... expressive about his fury in front of an emissary, especially by the time of HHB.
But on to the best bit: I love a good story about a devout Tash-follower meeting Aslan, and this did not disappoint whatsoever. His misgivings leading to great doubts, his stubborn hold on his faith even as he quails before the Lion before him, his eventual whisper late in life. Love, love, loved it.

LoyaulteMeLie chapter 1 . 4/19/2019
For some reason it had never occurred to me that there would be stories written about Narnia. This was the first I've read (having enjoyed your Enterprise stuff so much, I thought I'd dig and see if there were any others that attracted me) and just as with the Enterprise stories, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very well written, a more adult interpretation of the C S Lewis books I've enjoyed since childhood.
Rookblonkorules chapter 1 . 12/31/2018
This was amazing. I loved this being entirely written from the Calormen's point of view. His opinion on the whole matter was fascinating and I liked how the doubts were slowly sowing themselves in his mind. Let's hope he does follow Aslan after all's said and done.
bunny456 chapter 1 . 9/2/2018
Yo, that was amazing. It never ceases to amaze me. You can really tell who came with all the world of the books and who came from only the movie. This was SO GOOD. Like everything. The portrayal of Tash believers, the Pevencies in their scene, the Edmund whump and the giant theological parallels. Like I was all over Edmunds escape! And the Aslan scene?! I am blown away. Great work!
Lollypop 8 chapter 1 . 8/26/2018
Lion's mane, this was incredible! You did a phenomenal job with the writing, and I loved the Calormene perspective! I especially appreciated lines like "how jealously the Lion guards his ransomed sons" and "perhaps the Lion's claws extend as far as Tashbaan" and the like. I was sensing the Acts 12 parallels when the guard wouldn't wake up. Anyways, well done, and I desperately hope you plan on writing some more Narnia stories. Preferably with Edmund in trouble because those are my weakness. ;)
Politics.and.Prose chapter 1 . 8/6/2018
This story is incredible. I can’t even put into words how talented you are. Thank you for sharing this work.
Ally chapter 1 . 8/3/2018
Fantastic! Great job! I was intrigued the entire time!
Serena Edmunds chapter 1 . 8/2/2018
You're right. You're not a decent author in this fandom. You're a WORLD CLASS author on your first jaunt into the Narnian realm! The prose is smooth, brilliant, pitch-perfect. The story flows like pure liquid gold. The characterizations - spot on as can be. I'm obsessed with the subtle but meaningful brotherly love demonstrated here (most stories on this site tend to make the Pevensie brothers such sappy, emotional gits. So much hugging! And kissing! And touching!). Not to mention, I am partial to a reasonably whumpy, Edmund-centric fic myself (and not just because of my last name). ;-)

I have no complaints - just a hope that this will get 100x the reviews than it does now. I don't know how fanfic awards/awarding works on this site, but if there was one for Narnia in the one-shot category, I'd definitely nominate this for the Best One-shot of All Time and it should WIN!

Superb job. Thank you for this beauty of a masterpiece!

I love this.
NarniaGirl chapter 1 . 7/30/2018
You are an AMAZING Narnian writer! Even though it wasn't focusing on the Pevensies, you definitely got the relationship between Peter and Edmund spot on. I loved that line "the King paces like a lion robbed of its cub". Adorable! I really hope to see more Narnia fics from you, PLEASE continue!
Rivy chapter 1 . 7/31/2018
I really loved it. As someone who holds Narnia very close to the heart, I hold your story in high regard. Well done!
