All of this is just amazing! This is definitely the best Sirius characterization I've come across, probably due to the depth you put into his parents as both his adversaries but behind-the-scenes collaborator. I sincerely love Walburga and Orion so much and root for their little schemes. If I had to criticize anything I'd request for a little more Regulus- he's definitely the most interesting character to me.

In chapter 24, the conversation between James and Orion was perfect, especially Orion's reaction when James told him that Petunia thought wizards were freaks.

I also liked Ted trying to explain how riding a bicycle feels, because usually people compare *other* things to riding a bicycle.

The end of this chapter was poignant, with estranged cousins being reunited after all those years. I hope they will see more of each other soon.

I love this story! It's so wonderfully written that sometimes I feels like I'm reading an exciting novel. This has everything: adventure, romance, drama, humor... I could go on - it's THAT good. I don't usually warm up to new characters, but Colette is quickly becoming a new favorite of mine. I could never wrap my mind around Sirius settling down with anyone, but I'm crossing my fingers and hoping he and Colette will have a happy ending together. This story deserves so much more recognition than it currently has, it's honestly one of my favorites. And I love you for writing such long chapters - thank you for that! Please update very soon, I can't wait to read about Walburga's reaction to Sirius's christmas gift. And happy belated birthday!

Always a pleasure to see a new chapter pop up on my alert. No clue how this all will end, which of course makes it more exciting, but I hope succumbing to his parent’s will doesn’t change Sirius too much.

If he ends up as the new lord black in the end, it’d be nice if he would bring Andromeda back into the fold, they seem to get on well enough, and I bet it’d really stick in his parent’s craw something horribly.

Doesn’t look like he’ll be pulled back into the family kicking and screaming anymore, but I do hope he doesn’t just give up, and let them do whatever they want without a fight.

Don’t know if he suspects at all yet, but I’m interested to see how he reacts when/if he learns of his mother manipulating the situation Corelette. Who will he be more angry at? What might be the fallout, and/or blowup from that?

As always, can’t wait for the next chapter.

This remains my favorite story. Thanks for writing and sharing. Happy birthday to you, a day late. I look forward to reading your posts and I generally need to go back at least once to absorb the many details. The Blacks are so cryptic and never come right out and say what is on their mine. The sarcasm is thick and occasionally I do not actually understand who stands where. All part of the Black family interactions. Thanks for bringing Andromeda into the fray-she has the most sense of all of them.

The reunion between Andromeda and Regulus was really the crowning glory of this chapter - guess it’s not just Sirius whose life has been infiltrated by said “snake”, no matter how much Andi claims to have closed that chapter of her life.
