As of now, I can't see Kirei turning out for the better. I think the first step to any sort of redemption is acceptance, in that Kirei needs to accept that he is fundamentally different from the norm, and slowly grow accustomed to that idea.

This is the kind of fic I'm looking for. Something that explores the very depths of Kirei's soul and finds if he can be truly redeemed.

here's hoping at they find Raven. it's not like she could make Kirei much worse than he already is... maybe?
