to bad you abandonned the story. Pretty unique that the OC does not get everything he wants and never sufferes a set back.. this story is more realistic..

I understand why this was dropped.

Feels too idealistic. Every idea he has just works, he happens to find a gold mine and he somehow has the authority to just allow the Iron Bank into Westeros. All too easy.

Making it compulsory to boil water might be a tad hard in medieval times. Boiling water for drinking needed extra firewood and most common folks in medieval Europe prefered fermented drinks like beer or wine, and all other variations thereof.

I like this story. The premise has been done, but your writing is enjoyable.
Although, 3000 people dying from a fire doesn't seem at all plausible. Unless it somehow managed to sneak up on all of them, which is just crazy.. Also seems like an extreme leap of logic for people to assume he's a sorcerer. He hasn't done anything completely crazy yet, I feel it's more incriminating if he starts blabbing about being blessed, lol.
