This chapter was so awesome! I got worried at first when I saw the title “Girl Fight”, because with the first scene I thought Riley and Tip were going to have an argument. I’m glad that my initial speculation was wrong!

Poor Tip… :( On top of the trauma of almost being strangled, now she’s going through some inferiority issues when it comes to her contribution to the team. Come to think of it, Fred and Tip are pretty similar in that respect. Sure, Fred has money to finance the team, but in a life-or-death situation, how much is that going to help you? Maybe Tip could go to Fred for some help and bonding on being the “normal” ones on the team. Even though the circumstances that brought it about were terrifying, It seems like this could be the beginning of a self-discovery arc for Tip.

It’s great that Riley still sees her psychiatrist after the events of Empathy, but now I’m curious whether the psychiatrist knows about her superhero life and powers? I imagine that it would be pretty tricky to explain whatever trauma Riley went through without the context in which it happened. Either way, she will definitely need help in processing what happened to her; it seems like the experience has messed with her empathic abilities. Perhaps Riley is going to have to do some meditation to help with that.

On a lighter note, the scene where Riley uses her martial arts training against six bullies was awesome! :D She’s definitely come a long way since the events of Empathy. I also just realized that in the next chapter, we will probably get introduced to the Minions! Oh man, I can’t wait to see everyone’s reactions to them xD Thanks for a fantastic chapter, I can’t wait to see what other things you have lying in store for us!

I loved this chapter and I'm still anxious for more. Loved seeing Riley use her tai chi on defending Margo against some bullies, showing how bad ass she has become. Still would like to see more romantic interactions between the main couples in this story, like Honey Lemon and Susan, Hiro and Riley, Fred and Violet, and Go Go and Wasabi. Looking forward to reading about Riley and Tip being friends with Margo, Edith, and Agnes and to reading about Gru going undercover. I'm also looking forward to this story's sequel, "Destiny." Like I said, I'm anxious for more. Please update soon!

Wow, people think adults can be cruel but with children they haven't learned cause and effect yet so they don't know when to stop. As for Ashley, lets just say i doubt Gru wouldn't have been so forgiving. Loved the interaction between Gru and Megamind. Would love to read more about how they know one another. Glad to see this updated; I’ve been looking forward to seeing Gru brought into the fold. And the titular girl fight had strong vibes of the Karate Kid remake with Jackie Chan; nicely written.

Never underestimate how cruel a child can be, ignorance can cause as many problems as malice.

About time, we got back to Riley. As expected, she's not doing so good after Mezzmerella did that number on her, suffering from some clear PTSD and anxiety. It sucks to see, but I did appreciate you showing what this might do mentally, to a young girl like Riley. But it was also nice having her talk to Tip about it, and the two girls dealing with it and their frustrations together. Also, we've got our arc for Tip, as she feels weaker and not as important as everyone else. I'm interested to see, which direction you'll take this and what will happen to Tip, to make her feel just a bit more useful. Once that's done, the girls are approached by one Lucy Wilde, who needs their help with a certain goal. Recruiting Gru and his daughters!

It's about time, we got those guys in here. Unfortunately, they're not in the best of situations right now, as they're currently being bullied. Seriously, who the hell bullies someone over their dead parents. That's just fucking low man. Needless to say, it was pretty great seeing Margo & Riley, knocking her down a few pegs. Speaking of which, Riley joins Lucy & Megamind to recruit Gru, and as hinted at last time, the two former villains are old buddies. and seeing the two of them together, was just as fun as it you'd think it would be. Things take a grim turn, soon after Riley beats the bully though, as her PTSD makes a return, her only snapping back through the aid of Gru's girls. Quite a first impression huh? Fun job on this chapter mate.

The part where Riley kicked the bullies butts I'm pretty sure was based on the kickass scene from the the 2010 Karate Kid movie where Jackie Chan's character beats up those bully kids without even actually laying a hand in them. He pretty much gets them to beat each other up.

Poor Tip. It can be tough, being the 'normal' one of the team. I wonder if she'll eventually get powers of her own, or stay the badass normal. Because a lot of times, teams like this need a person who is 'normal,' whatever that means.

Damn, kids can be so, so cruel sometimes. Making fun of someone for being orphans, or for crying about their dead parents? That is super low. Luckily, the girls have made a kickass new friend in Riley.

Nice way of doing a transition chapter, without making it unimportant. Very nice. I love the Karate Kid fight sequence as well. Riley kicks butt! Wonder how they’ll all be reacting to each other in the next chapter. Excellent work as always! Can’t wait for more!
