This is great! I'm quite glad I found this, as I was thinking of contributing a story to the fandom. I haven't had this concept for long so it's still very much in the works but I'm brainstorming about giving Izuku a quirk or not (mostly whether a particular extra quirk will support OfA or not), how the plot would adjust according to the changed premise - and here I struggle with wanting to make a novel idea yet am afraid to break away much from the original story.

I haven't worked with a beta reader in a long time simply because I didn't feel I needed someone to check spelling and grammar (I look over my writing many times and use Grammarly to pick up the leftovers); but you did bring up a valid point - that is, someone who looks for plot continuity and such. So now I need to find someone who fits that role well...

Hey, question here:
One of my OCs is Jeremy Choi, a demigod of another universe that is referred as the Godslayer. As being a god and all, he would of course be OP like there's no tomorrow.

To make the story balanced, I thought of doing a lot of worldbuilding to find a way to not make a fanfic a curb stomp.

My idea is that in exchange of placing an OP OC, I would add another OP antagonist, in the form of Irith'Nor, the god of Pure Chaos, who has been doing an interuniversal crusade.

What do you think?

Trust me, OC harems are even worse. Most OCs (Not all of them) are basically the author in the way they want to be presented as. So they are basically shipping themselves with real characters. That’s not creepy at all, especially not if the characters are teenagers.

Personally for me, I think the best OCs are the ones who could bring a change into the story. The OC could have a arc or two not in the actual story. Another thing is flaws. I think the best OCs need to have flaws that relate to the story in some way and can be implicated into fights to raise stacks. Also I always find it weird to see a story where someone has more than one quirk. I once read a fic where a OC was Izukus sister and had four quirks. Neither of which related to each other or her parents. Also the two quirks I remember was that whatever she drew became real and those drawings were Invincible. Also she was invincible as well. Because that’s not a Mary Sue at all.

This chapter perfectly describes why I hate so many Villain Deku Fics. They completely make him do a 180 out of nowhere and that makes him completely insane. I loved how you also gave a shout out to a good villain Deku fic. Also side note, I remember riding this one fic where Deku was homeless, and these guys decided to pick on him so Izuku decidedly to torture them to death. Like, what the fuck.

You can rant for eight billion words and harem writers won't ever slow down. They know what they're doing.
