Okay, so I skipped reading this before the finale, afraid it might be a teeny bit too spoilery, then never came back to it. So, here I am tonight, reading it as my own version of therapy. And this...this really helped. If I told you everything I loved about it I'd just be re-writing the whole thing, but particularly loved the way he just TRUSTS her-even when she's from the future and seemingly breaking the laws of time travel. And the way he's finally able to talk about his feelings-because she's Lucy, the only one he can talk too, and this time she's not pushing him away. Because she did in Season 3. And thank you for addressing that in this fic too-because though we can all agree Wyatt was an idiot in an unwinnable situation, Lucy didn't help herself or them by taking the route she saw was "right", that was easier, by pushing him back to Jessica. Their circumstance in a nutshell season 2, was her saying, and I'm paraphrasing, 'you're happily married, and we *both* have to accept that'...but I digress. Thank you for starting them back on the road of reconciliation in this story-Future Lucy's PS in her letter to Lucy is everything...and the way you worked in your title-that he is her invariant...beautiful. Sigh. Gonna need a whole lot more fic therapy, I think-movie or no movie. Maybe all of us fic writers should just write our own continuation of the story! Anyway a huge belated thank you for this story...I needed it tonight!

And congrats on nailing the 'visit from future Lucy' in your spec - was that just based on the story of the journal?

Oh-and loved Wyatt calling back to the day they met-when I caught on after his "No, ma'am" I melted into a puddle of feels.

This was wonderful! I love reading stories from Wyatt's POV. I just love the fact that he didn't even question another Lucy (he just knew it was her and that she was there to help). :)

After Flynn and Lucy's conversation about a not-to-distant future Lucy being the one that started them all on the time travel adventure, I wonder how real a possibility it is for them to be able to travel to a time period where they exist already soon...

I couldn't help but smile at the moment that Wyatt was trying to recreate. The moment his life changed for the better. ;) This was a very interesting story and a cool take on ideas for what might happen in the finale - I really can't wait to see it Sunday. Let's hope we get the S3 renewal announcement before then so we can all breathe easier. ;) :)

Interesting idea, I like it. I have no idea what they are going to do with the finale. For me the writers royally screwed up by getting Wyatt and Lucy together and then bringing Jessica back. One thing I wish you would have addressed in your story a little more is Jessica. You mentioned that she was there and that she may be pregnant with Wyatt's child, but will she be there when they return? I think it's clear that Rittenhouse brought her back but is she a Rittenhouse agent? I have a feeling we will be left with more questions than answers. Thanks for writing. Well done.

I'm crying. That was beautiful. I've always suspected that losing Wyatt is what sent Lucy off on this journey and was why she gave the journal to Flynn.

Oh my frickin heart YESSSSSS. This was amazing! I just was awestruck by that moment when Wyatt looked at future!Lucy and instantly understood who she was & trusted her :))) Maybe it’s because their lives are freaking crazy or maybe it’s one too many blows to the head, but nahhh it’s just that he trusts any version of Lucy from past or present, and so he doesn’t even bother with the incredulous reaction - he just ARGUES with her about leaving present!Lucy lolllllll. That’s. My. Guy. Right. There. The way he unloads all of his chaotic feelings and regrets to future!Lucy becuase FINALLY he has his best sounding board right there in front of him, willing to listen as he sorts through this mess, and oh geez how his words become so restorative to this version of her who’s never truly heard them... MY HEART. You capture the messy tragic beauty of Lucy and Wyatt to a tee! And gahhh when present!Lucy finally can form questions (after some much needed snuggle-sobbing, THANK YOU) and she wants to know what her future self was doing, Wyatt’s answer about Lucy Preston doing what she always does YES YES YES. I love when Wyatt talks about her like that - like she’s the freaking sun in his sky :) AND OH, when he does the same ma’am routine as in the pilot I AUDIBLY GASPED. Thank you for beautifully sending them back onto the road to each other in this hugely epic way. I love it. I launched myself at this fic basically threw seconds after I saw the email alert. You’re soooo fantastic and I love all of your ideas and speculations :)
