wonderful read. thank you for posting. I think you have done a fantastic job capturing the personalities of Ben and Rey. There stubbornness and the journey they took together. I do feel like Ben got treated a little too harshly in some regards given that he was brainwashed as much as if not more than someone like Finn but I get the whole theme. Rey felt slightly out of character at times with her mood swings since she was shown as a pretty intense confident woman but I can rationalize it as her growing and us seeing different sides of her vs what was shown in the movies. I enjoyed all of your OCs, and I would have digged a little more plot with the Knights, especially some Alyse drama but that's just wishful reader thinking. thanks again for the great reimagining. and in a lot of ways this is how I would have liked to see the series end. maybe could have used a force ghost here and there? maybe Ben healing his crystal fully? meh but I appreciate you stayed on point and got it finished. excellent job.

I started reading this story when you first started writing it, but I stopped reading when I had to wait (what felt like forever) for updates. Then I kind of just forgot about it. Then a couple days ago (after buying TRoS) I remembered the first chapter of this story specifically where Ben lays the flower on top of Rey’s parents grave, and I thought to myself “man I really need to go back and read that because it was just so good maybe it’s finished”. And let me tell you! I read all the chapters in a matter of a day and a half. This is probably one of the best fanfics I’ve ever read! The ending is so beautiful too! You did a great job and I’m definitely looking forward to reading whatever you write in the future!

This has been the best fanfiction and writing I have read in my 10 years of reading through fanfiction.
Reading each chapter was a joy and it never felt like the normal fanfiction-character reactions where they would be mad each other for weeks. These characters, from Rey to the random stormtrooper, all felt like real people with differing views and opinions: Especially with Rey and Kylo. They both had different world views, different experiences, but they never felt like one side was right and the other was wrong. This story truly showed the meaning of People and what they feel and accomplish, unlike so many different stories. Most focus on linear paths: Bad guy realizes what he had always thought was good is bad, he agrees with the good guys, then immediately turns to fight against everything he had ever worked for. It's boring, dumb, and unrealistic.
I am so glad I found this fanfiction because it gives so much perspective into people that I wish I found this fanfiction when I was first starting to read fanfiction.
I have never, EVER felt so many different emotions from a story before. Even from those I had considered to be the best of their kind. This was a roller-coaster that I will inevitably ride again and again when I run out of good stories to read.
This is turning out to be a rant, but BAH I DONT CARE THIS STORY IS AMAZING!
I am downright green with envy that you have this ability to write about actual people instead of the fantasy characters fanfiction is so well-known for. I've tried doing this myself, (I have a story posted that attempted to do this, but it is a severe downgrade in comparison) but I would always find my characters to be too bland or one-sided.
This one not only made the black-vs-white mindset obsolete and outdated but made people you can actually root for.
These 50 chapters are an absolute masterpiece and I cannot get over how good they are.
