I had to smile when I read you're description of isolating penicillin. I did almost the same procedure yesterday in the lab with vitamin K. I used dimethyl sulfoxide, n-hexane, and methanol as solvents instead, but similar principle. Nice to read a story where someone knows what their talking about! Great job!

Varys isnt really honest about wanting the stability for the realm. He had several chances to end the conflict, but he didnt. He seems to be very biased, and he may be loyal to Blackfyres.

Lol, he's in over his head. He actually just I'll mploed Varys is an ally. Say that to Kevan Lannister who almost ended the Clash of Kings war (which was in the realm's favor) in the book, but was killed by the Spider. Let's not fool ourselves, if your not Targeryean, your not good enough.
Also, there's nothing wise about letting a spy (much less Varys') handle your food.
