Just found this story, I like how outspoken Katniss was as a small child and how she stood up for Peeta. They have a supportive friend group and have gone thru a lot so far but the reaping will be a test. Thanks for sharing this story.

I really like how you showed their back story. How Peeta and Katniss relationship grew out of friendship into a more intimate, personal relationship.

It was cute how they became best friends with Delly. A tantrum can go a long way especially with parents. Delly's parents didn't want her to befriend Peeta becasue he was one of, "them." Delly didn't care. I think it was sweet how the Everdeen helped Peeta with his prosthetic leg. They let him be a normal boy growing up!

All of the town was prepared for a mine explosion. The town went into emergency mode when the explosion happened. Sad news for the Everdeen and Hawthrone. Their father suffered body damaged, but they were alive!

Peeta kissed Katniss. She was the one who tried, but this time he did it! AWWW!

This is a much nicer Katniss than we are used to. Less self absorbed. I love that we have grown up along with Everlark. Delightful story. More soon please. Thanks for sharing.

I really was captivated by your story! I enjoyed the premise of your story line and the characters of the HG.

The HG are no more, but the reaping exist. There is a new twist to the reaping. Marriage! You are reaped into a marriage with someone. Plus, there is a new class of people called, "abnormal," where some people were born differently like a misssing limp, not mentally developed. Peeta is one of those abonrmal by not having a missing leg. Yet, it doesn't faze Katniss. She was his friend on the first day of school and remains his friend.

Now, they are bf/gf. They want to get married, but Peeta's status as abnormal is not going to give Peeta a chance becasue he won't be in the reaping. They are trying to find something to break the
rules. They are reading books to see what they can do. They have allies like their parents, Haymitch and his wife Effie, and Plutach who seems to champion their cause.

I really like the flashbacks to their relationship. You can see why they are best friends in the beginning and gradually and naturally into a personal relationship.

Can't wait to read the next chapter.
