O.O I've seen plenty of marinette getting the disease so its really interesting to see Adrien get it. I really like his panic and him covering it up and his reasons fo not getting help. shows he has a easier time being the support than being supported himself. I also like how even though he's hiding it the cracks are showing here and there in his behavior which makes sense. he found out he could literally die from this. and even though the smart plan would just to get the surgery its HIS emotions. she is one of his closest friends. he loves her a lot and she's important to him an has had a big influence on who he is. if the surgery happen while it might save hiss life it will damper his ability to love and take away the affection and warmth he feels for his dear partner and Adrien already has a lack of affection in his life. the irony that the emotion he indulges in is going to kill him hurts me heart!
I really like how everybody can tell something might be wrong by the crack in the behavior butt he is able to throw them off his back by pretending he's fine.
wost part is its not like he is angry about the fact ladybug doesn't like him back. he adores her and cherishes the fact that he can be near her even though he knows se doesn't like him backand without the disease he would be rather content with that. but with the disease its like he's being ounished for his emotions and its so sad. I love how he appreciates the care and people asking but damn it, it hurt because even in his friends worse nightmares they won't guess his problem because its rare and he always seems to put together, him dying won't cross their minds.
and as much as he want his lady to love him back he doesn't seem very hopeful about that happening. and how long wll he be able to deal with this by himself? Alya is a chatter box, nino will tell alya, his dad has a bunch of issues and ladybug might seem like a option but she doesn't feel the same way and hee knows that. he wouldn't want her to try to force it, or think he's incapable of helping her, and most importantly if he does die he wouldn't want her to feel guilty.
Adrien can't even tell marinette. he admires mari a lot but she has a wonderful life and he wouldn't want to make her sad. not to mention aly is mari's best friend and while Adrien trusts mari if Adien and mari interact Alya has a big chance of finding out that way. he can't go to chloe. not only would she be devastated she would most likely try to track down the girl who he is crushing on and give her a talking to. Adrien is one of the few friends chloe has and she can't keep her mouth shut either.
...maybe chat noir could be found out by marinette. he can open up o one of his friends and interact with her when she is actually speaking full sentences butt also be reassured his civilian self's secret will be safe from his dad for now.
maybe Adrien can talk to plagg?
Does plagg even know? was Adrien coughing only when plagg was asleep and hasn't informed plagg of the issue?
Adrien is smart so there must be some way to slow down the effects and cover up the symptoms at times.
mari may tend to over react and be nosy but she can also be oblivious nd a little naïve so she probably won't suspect anything super bad anytime soon. Adrien will definitely do his best to avoid the doctors. and he has good control over his facial and body muscles so I think holding back coughs will get easier for him. like a test of his abilities.
it would be interesting if the suit affects th disease a bit. lke maybe it slows down the progress or makes it hurt less. or maybe the flowers changed colors though maybe keep them the same as a possible way for mari to connect the dots. I wonder if her luckcharm vision with the things going red with spots might affect his flowers at somepoint. like a clue something is wrong.
Adien is surrounded by magic so maybe he searches for ways to stall the disease o cover the affects but also asking plagg for help. like the possibility of cataclysming the infection some how to stall for time. tikki is creation so maybe there is the idea that he should sk ladybug to use her luckcharm to whip up a cure for a problem he is having. but then again that would be admitting there is a problem which he stubbornly won't do at this point. maybe plagg could get Adrien to go to master fu for help or advise. after all the guy is a healer and really old. and Adrien is stubborn. even if he come to terms with that he will just keep his pain silent and try to hold on for as long as he can without telling anyone he might try to cheer himself up and keep busy by looking for alternative routes like magic, master fu ect.
maybe he can joke and say he ate something bad orr something to explain his behavior to his friends.
maybe Alya will notice the effects it has in chat's behavior. maybe he is more jokey, or slows down, something she'd only notice by watching the videos of them over and over.
maybe Adrien will try being more jokey as Adrien since he is dying he has nothing to lose being more open and enjoying it while it lasts but then again he will be trying to keep it a secret.
Adren clearly admires the heck out of mari in the show even if he hasn't realized he might be crushing on her but its interesting his disease is responding to her. so he isn't going to find it easy even with 'ladybug' not being around him all the time. especially since the disease only stops when if Adrien thinks his love is returned. it continues when he thinks his love isn't returned,. even if in reality it was. if he doesn't know its returned he is screwed.
and yet even though he doesn't know he's in love with marinette it reacts. so I'm guessing even though he loves his lady his feelings for mari are there as well even if he doesn't realize they are there yet...if he thinks they are two different people even if mari confessed to him he would still think ladybug doesn't like him so he wouldn't heal most likely. though if he does realize he is crushing on both mari and ladybug would that mean he'd need both to say they love him?
though on a subconscious level he probably knows they aren't the same if the rest of him doesn't catch up he's screwed. and even more so because mari/ladybug is more stubborn than him. she is so nervous around Adrien that its going to have some difficulties and she is stubbornly thinking Adrien is her only one unless someone knockers her out of her 'only Adrien' mindset and she really starts noticing chat and lowers the notch down on her denial thi will be difficult
