The way that your explored the phobias was brilliant. I happen to be absolutely terrified of storms so this piece was relatable... only Alex has someone to comfort him.

Poor Alex! Phobias like that are horrible and it makes perfect sense that loud sounds like a thunderstorm and the flashes of lightning would give him flashbacks (or at the very least bring up some really bad memories) after everything he has been through. And his worry about Yassen, because it's not just his own bad memories but the 'what ifs', too - what if Yassen ends up in a car crash, what if he loses control of the car, what if. And yay for Yassen being there, and Alex feeling so much better for it! Really, who else could calm Alex down again so well? Thank you for writing!

Wow, this chapter (story) is just so sweet. I can almost see Alex all wrapped in the blankets near a fireplace while talking to Yassen and then them together in the same place. Amazing.
