I really love the Salqueen fluff - as always. Though I feel really bad for Cruz and her nightmares. I love how quickly Lightning responds to Cruz's cries of distress. I just love how both he AND Sally respond to her distress, ready to help her and take care of her as if she was their daughter or family member. It's so beautiful! :')

I'm SERIOUSLY loving the Lightning/Cruz fluff. It's so stinking adorable! I'd REALLY love to see more! XD

Happy happy birthday again, love! I think fic is a great gift to self-and one that the rest of us get to enjoy, too! This was such a wonderful read. It definitely pulls you right back to that moment in the original, and the terror of Cruz's attempt to escape from Storm on his rampage, just as Cruz is thrown back in by her nightmare/flashback.

What I love best is Lightning and Cruz's conversation about parity, if that's the right word. Because it's something I think about a lot, and I find Cruz's concern that the situation she's in is putting her friends out, and all she's doing is taking and taking, very compelling. It compounds that sense of helplessness from the original abuse/assault, and I feel like that's how Lightning sees it too, when he expresses his thought that Storm had done a number on her, re: the twist of her thoughts, because that's not how he saw their relationship at all. And their embrace is SO, SO SWEET. 3333333

I'm planning on making a short story with this scenario. Ya know, Storm being abusive to Cruz. But I'll change it up a little. Storm and Cruz are divorced and when Cruz files a restraining order, a few days later Storm shows up and ya know, starts abusing her. But there will be someone to save her. But it's not someone out know...

This was excellent! Even though it counts as a deleted scene it still feels like this chunk of the story was never really removed from the original. I loved how we got a flash back, then we had pov's from both Lightning and Cruz! Well done my friend :D
