Reviews for Didn't See It Coming
Frankie10 chapter 63 . 7/23
What a wonderful read. Didn't know it existed until about 2-3 days ago and have devoured it in that time. I'm very much looking forward to a sequel if it happens - that's right, almost 500k words wasn't enough ;). I felt you managed to capture a lot of their respective personalities despite it being an au story and, while descriptive, it didn't get bogged down by being too wordy. First time in a long time I've read a new Faberry fic and been literally counting down the page numbers, disappointed that it's coming to an end. Thanks for this :)

Wow. Just...wow. Thank you for that, this was great! Well done )
Jehfret chapter 63 . 5/18
(That went wrong... here is the rest.) I felt a particular melancholic longing and nostalgia when I decided to pick it back up, I was thinking a lot about an ex girlfriend and the past years, and the fact that this whole thing started with a breakup and the visceral reaction to it almost had me give up out of some sort of self-preservation. However, the love you wrote down is inspiring even through my tears and I hope to find (or rather rediscover) it some day. I wish all the best to you too, and I hope you're doing well as always. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a particular bechloe/faberry fic that I haven't read the second chapter of because I was too busy crying my eyes out and being frustrated with two baby gays who just. Needed. To. Communicate. Lots of love.

Man... I finally convinced myself a couple days ago (you can tell by the reviews I very sporadically left) to just sit down and read the whole thing again, this time including the final two chapters, because I didnt want to be missing out on the way I just knew you'd wrap up this massive masterpiece of a story. Boy, am I glad I did. What a wonderful finale, with callbacks to things I hadnt even considered anymore because to me they happened days ago, when to you they were a year or more ago even. I absolutely loved it. I think this might be your best work, though you honestly shouldn't make me choose. That would be unfair. I laughed, I cried, and I cried some more. So many things you write about hit home to me, either out of a sense of recognition or the complete opposite, where you open my eyes to things I've never considered or felt before. I was feeling a particular sense of melancholic ining

Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I started reading this last year around May and your story got me hooked on Faberry. I loved this so so much and it brought tears to my eyes reading that final chapter. Looking forward to the sequel! Wishing you the best of luck!

Could this have been the fabled first appearance of your patented words "stinking cute"? ;)
Jehfret chapter 1 . 5/11
Ah man, I decided to reread this now that it's done so I'm fully immersed reading the last chapters, but I kind of forgot it started with such a painful breakup. It hurt like hell back when I first read it because my own was still much more fresh but I've coincidentally been in kind of a slump the past few days because of it, even though it's been quite a while now, and this first chapter immediately hurt a lot. That's a compliment to your writing, by the way. Damn you for writing so well that it so easily strikes me emotionally ;)

Beautiful ending

OK I like the fact you have made Rachel as selfish and unreasonable as she is on the show. Though I disagree with Quinn Rachel was at fault for the argument and aftermath.

bidyys chapter 35 . 5/6
OK, I will acknowledge that I read this story last year through chapter 51 (it had been completed thru chapter 61). I stopped not because it was not beautifully written or incredibly entertaining, I stopped because it was not complete. I had read about the equivalent of a thousand-page book and just stopped. I “favored” the author and story so if the story continued, I would be notified. I had pretty much given up on the completion of the story when my email informed me that there was a chapter 62 and a chapter 63….and the story was finished.

So, I stared over, and I am so glad did. I am at chapter 35 (again) and the story though long is worth every moment and more.

Personal isolation and social distancing that we are all experiencing make this tale even more enjoyable (if that is even possible).

Incredibly well written the story offers a window into a world of love, tolerance, and understanding beyond what the creators of the television show were able to portray.

If you have the time, take the time and enjoy what is among the best the Faberry world has to offer.
