shadizsato chapter 34 . 7/24
Take as much time as you need. Don't force something out just because you feel you NEED to or are bugged to. it won't make you happy with the outcome. Be safe and happy, we will be here when you are ready.
retnuh1000 chapter 24 . 7/17
Even though it was spread across two chapters, the christmas eve scene might be the single most romantic thing ive ever read.
stevem1 chapter 34 . 7/2
This is very much hurt, angst, etc.. Maybe too much so at times. There were frequent scenes I was reading in disbelief that Harry was so downtrodden. Far more than in canon.

There were things I liked, like Sirius and Fleur’s role.

I hated Dumbledore. His role in Harry’s trauma is completely glossed over. The fact that no one really connects the dots is an oversight, especially considering how much worse off he is than in canon.

The story is very well written.

So if you like emotionally dark stories, this is for you.
stevem1 chapter 3 . 7/2
Crouch is correct, despite being a jerk. A wand is a deadly weapon. Forgetting where you placed your pistol and wandering around town clueless for hours only for it to be used in a crime will have the police knocking on your door.
Archleone chapter 34 . 6/23
Even with this attempt at showing Harry's skill, he still feels so very boring to me. Like, Harry himself is very uninteresting in this story. He feels like a developmentally delayed version of canon Harry. He learned the Patronus over a year later. He's more fragile. He's not particularly confident in general. His spell set seems mostly pretty bland and average. Fleur is more interesting than he is.

She's the only reason I kept reading after the first two chapters or so.

You've changed a lot from the previous years, you've changed the prophecy, and you've changed various other things since the story started as well. Despite that, I've yet to feel like any of it mattered much at all. Harry himself doesn't feel like he's in much of a better position than canon Harry other than maybe being able to cast a little faster, and he's got a very attractive and devoted girlfriend. Sure, Sirius is free and currently alive, but that hasn't had much of an impact yet, given that he spends a lot of time with his girlfriend and her family during breaks.

I suppose I was hoping to see something more exciting? From Harry that is. All the weird mystical shit seems to stem more from Fleur, with Harry just witnessing some of it. Now she's scheduled to flit off to fairy land to meet more Veela and quiz them on her fire to see whether or not it's safe to set his head aflame to kill the Horcrux.

Personally, I'd have had the flame destroy the Horcrux already during the whole clusterfuck at the Ministry. Or severely damage it so that Harry could turn it into some kind of source of benefit to himself. Back in "the day", it was fairly popular to have Harry basically eat it one way or another to become more knowledgeable and powerful. Or getting rid of it with fairy fire could have given Harry an affinity for fairy things (aside from, you know, dating one) and lead to him and Fleur going to meet the the big bad fairies together to deepen their understanding and grow their powers together.

Like, Harry could attune himself to some ancient, basically extinct, source of fae power that has been forgotten by time. Fleur could become more like the Veela ancestors and have a greater control of her powers. Harry could use his new faerie abilities to defeat Voldemort while Fleur keeps him safe from the Death Eaters that might want to interrupt.

Or, you know, whatever else. Anything feels more interesting that Harry basically being canon Harry but slightly different, or Fleur pulling a Hagrid and Remus by disappearing to a foreign country for months.

Separating them for so long essentially removes the only thing I liked about this story: The romance between Harry and Fleur. Fleur in this story is less independent than she's usually written, but that kind of works out by making her seem cuter. Harry is still a bore though.
Urgazhi chapter 34 . 6/22
This is probably in of the best comfort fictions I've read in years. Looking forward to seeing how you continue it.
UNSC-Saratoga chapter 34 . 6/19
This is by far the greatest Harry Potter fanfic I have ever read. Keep up the good work!
Guest chapter 3 . 6/17
I know I’m being pedantic but Fudge isn’t the minister of England he’s the minister of Britain, which includes Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Alterbliss chapter 8 . 6/10
Can't be bothered with this story anymore. Waste of time and effort on a useless and weak Harry who take crap from everyone.
Alterbliss chapter 6 . 6/10
Dumbledore spying on Harry and Fleurs first face to face meeting...strike three. And Harry actually getting his ass handed to him in the fist task. Your Harry is so much worse then Canon its messed up.
Alterbliss chapter 5 . 6/10
Dumbledore looking into Harry's mind to see if he entered the tournament, strick 2 for dumbles. Harry tho didn't seem to make to much of a fuss about it when the officials were questioning him or when Maxime commented on his age..
Alterbliss chapter 4 . 6/10
Interesting chapter. You made it so Harry can't receive letters at private drive...even with his own owl..hmm. Also he didnt defend himself against Crouch's accusations. He just took it.
Alterbliss chapter 2 . 6/10
Just started reading this. Ok so far. I hope Harry gets a back bone and stands up for himself against the Dursleys. Also Harry has done Nothing to antagonise the Dursleys. He certainly didn't set the snake on Dudley. They are just very abusive. So I hope this us corrected in the story. I hope Dumbledore gets put in his place for putting him there in the first place
Uzushiogakure chapter 34 . 5/31
