This was a great follow up to Punch Out. It still didn't have resolution, but you left it open with hope

I really love this story. I'm glad Jess doesn't want to rush into anything. They need time to become friends again before anything more can happen. Thanks for sharing.

He's allowed himself to hope again. I hope you continue. I'm not usually a literati fan, but I'm rooting for them to go the distance.
Nancy chapter 1 . 1/9/2018
Well written - thanks for letting me be a fly on the wall to hear and see this meeting. Glad that they were able to talk it through, to individually explain what they each meant, to question, then to explain more, then to understanding, and finally to peace and acceptance. Very enjoyable to read. Thanks for writing and sharing. Please write more for us.

Nice piece. I like that Jess called her on her crap. I agree with everything he said to her, and I think it's reasonable that he wants some time before jumping into a relationship together. Honestly, stacked against each other, I find Rory's actions towards Jess more reprehensible then his leaving for California, especially since he gave her a huge clue on the bus that morning, and he called her. She never fought for him or stood in his corner. She always gave in to her mom, or other's opinions, or just didn't really try except for the one time she skipped school and went to New York (though she chickened out there as well). I love the way you write the characters. Please keep writing.

Beautiful. Absolutely loved it.

I love that this time they decided to actually talk about everything, about fears and the choices/mistakes that were made from their previous relationship. And I love that they're deciding to be cautious this time, instead of just jumping right in. I think that perfectly highlights the difference between what a kid/teenager would do versus what an adult would do. I love the maturity.

Thank you for writing this. I really enjoyed "Punch Out" and always wondered what would have happened after the story. Now I'm off to read both stories again.
