So I've just breezed through all the available chapters so far and I'm am LOVING this story! I always appreciate an intense "page-turner" that takes the time to establish the characters, the settings, and the story, without just jumping into it because they wanna rush to the best part. I enjoy that you've taken your time here with the set up and formed a nice friendship with Maria and Sonic. And now I will definitely be following this story to see what happens when eventually Shadow and Maria finally reunite! I've also gone and followed your Twitter and I love the Shadmari art you've posted so far, as well as your design for Maria's "Eggman" style clothing. I'm tempted to make some fanart myself for this story. :)

I couldn't be afraid of infinite ever... Though thinking about it now he did wounded Sonic, Shadow and Silver. Though our OC and Sonic made him look like shit. Still the way you pitch him was perfect. Same exact Zamasu style wording.

Please do excuse my language bUT HOLY SHIT I LOVED THIS CHAPTER! I knew that it was important for Maria to know that there was a Resistance out there. I still can't get over how Maria was the 'in-side man' that alerted everyone that Sonic was still alive and where to find him. I'M SO PROUD OF HER!

Even though I really enjoyed this chapter I was sad about what happened to Nursebot. She (or it?) was genuinely affectionate towards Maria and only wanted the best for her. I suppose her knowing about the secret meetings made sense to how Maria always made it back in time . I honestly thought that NB was going to pull a WALLE and runaway with Maria. Hopefully, Ivo can fix her up :(

AND HERE COMES INFINITE THE EDGY DRAMA KING! I love how intimidatingly and smug he was. What a gruesome first impression Maria had to Earth, this poor girl does not deserve this.

I'm curious to Maria's reaction to the Phantom Ruby, I wonder if she has a connection to it.

I hope Mia's message got through to the Resistance so they can help Sonic. He's been suffering for far too long. And whoa... that nursebot really does have a mind of it's own. Hopefully the nursebot will be able to come onto Mia's side and help her through her time of need. And she's also slowly finding more connections between Sonic and Shadow... I wonder when everything will click.

And Infinite's here? Uh oh... that can't be good.

We haven't even gotten to the part where shadow appears and I'm already hooked! Please please please update!

I personally read his lines in Jason's voice just because I grew up with his (and Shadow's) voice being the iconic Sonic that we all know and love. Regardless, the way you write Sonic is sooooo good. Like you've honestly made him a hero in every sense of the word, always standing up even when he's down and feeling immense guilt over making Mia (okay okay this intermission might be kinda long but lemme just put it out there: is Mia an android? Like 'M' could stand for Maria, '1' could stand for the prototype/model she is or whatever, and the 'A' would be android...like there's signs dude! Signs!) despite the fact that he himself is in much worse pain? asdghjkl you're making me remember why younger me had a crush on him in the first place haha

Also nooooooo! I wanted more Sonaria BrOTP moments just before the big reveal that Shadow is the hedgehog she's talking about, but then she had to leave! Ahhhhh and she remembers how Shadow looks like? At least enough to (accurately) compare him to his "faker"? OH MY GOD sh*t's about to go down and I can't wait to see what you have planned for this story!

Holy crap. I don't know how you pulled it off but the parallel to Maria saying goodbye to Sonic in the end was/chefs kiss/perfect! I really love the way you've structured this chapter too: It really feels like Sonic's fading in and out of consciousness while recounting his perspective. And I know their separation was inevitable, but damn, that was like a gut punch in the feels. There goes his last ray of sunshine in this new cruel dark reality.

For Sonic's voice I always switch off between Jason and Roger depending on the tone of the story. For yours I think Roger suits it best. Good luck with your finals and take your time with part 2!
