DOOMRAIDER chapter 12 . 4/26
Fury's pride has either made her forget, or ignore that Death does not take disobedience lightly. War's missing arm is the best evidence for that. Even though they were brothers, and how Death cares about his remaining living family (Lilith has never been considered family to Death) he does not hesitate to meet out harsh punishment if the situation calls for it. Death's protective nature for the things, or people he cares about combined with his ruthlessness is also known throughout Creation. This is shown in multiple times where he outright states that he will kill, and make people suffer if they try something against the few things, and people he cares about. I guarantee that if Fury tried to hurt Dust she would lose a limb or two, and that is getting off easy compared to what Death would do to anyone else that was not his family who tried to hurt Dust. The same can be said if anyone tried to hurt Fury he would defend her even at the cost of his own life. Death has shown that he is willing to take on Heaven, or Hell to protect his family. "An attack on my brothers, is an attack on me." (Darksiders: The Abomination Vault)

There are few beings that could beat the Gilded Arena's champion after all the souls he has consumed overtime, and Vali with his sacred gear is one of them. Hopefully though anyone else Death kills will stay dead, whether they be allies, or enemies. The Kingdom of the Dead has the potential to play a very significant role in this story if given the chance. Using the Well of Souls as either a power source, or making powerful weapons, or a way to revive certain beings is a good idea to use. Ophis could entice, or threaten either the Chancellor, or one of Lords of the Dead Court to betray the lord of bones and gain control of the Kingdom of the Dead, though I doubt any threat, or offer would make The Judicator betray the lord of bones, unlike the other two Dead lords. While taking over the Kingdom of the Dead wouldn't be easy the really hard part would be getting the Angel, and Demon keys to unlock to door to the Well of Souls. Lucien would never hand over his key willingly, and while he is not as powerful as Ophis, or some of her best subordinates using the pool of knowledge would tip the odds in his favor. Samael on the other hand could take on Ophis' best subordinates, and even wound her if a fight broke out, but using his cunning would be what gives Samael his way of tipping the odds in his favor. Souls have been used for many things like currency, food, power etc, and having control of the Well of Souls would give anyone access to it tremendous power, as evidenced by Absalom's and Abaddon's power boosts. It would be interesting if that was the end goal for Ophis to absorb the trillions of souls in the Well of Souls to kill the Great Red for control of the Dimensional Gap along with anyone else who gets in her way. Of course that is assuming Ophis could handle that much power without exploding, and if she successfully absorbs all those souls then The Creator would be the only one who could stop her. It would be fitting that The Creator finally reveals Himself when there is someone, or something that threatens all of Creation (like The Apocalypse). It will be interesting what everyone's reactions will be when they finally see the Creator.

When vali died, his soul was in the kingdom of the dead. But koneko's soul is under death's grasp along with saji. If they even try to get it back, more souls will be under his grasp. so yeah.
Messiah of authors chapter 12 . 4/26
Great chapter I know this might be a stretch but well koneko? I’m asking this because you just brought back Vali so hoping? Especially if strife is banging her sister.
muddin2900 chapter 12 . 4/26
You know what I like about this story? You're the only guy that I found that took the Darksiders characters seriously and not changing them into someone they're not. War being duty bound, Death being merciless, Strife being carefree and Fury being reckless, it's really enjoyable. Nothing else to say but keep it and stay safe there man

not a lot of action from the horsemen and that hotspring situation isn't really my cup of tea. But it's good none the less. Strife being a playboy is quite logical. To be fair, not really into those kind of stuff when reading a story but as long it's not death, war and fury. It's all good
Gamelover41592 chapter 12 . 4/26
