It's a bit like for some families who unjustly have fathers acting crazy strange. Here's an idea: have a scenario where Yang gets to have another awkward like moment with Blake. Maybe even mention the part where Yang tells her about Ruby. Just something to keep in mind. ;) Hope to see another chapter on this.

OK listen up mate. You've written somebody OOC and received PMs from people that don't like it. RWBY is a story about character, fanfiction is centered on those characters, and you've changed one of them. You're going to get some people not liking it. Tons of us writers have been there.

I'm not going to say something cliché like "fuck the haters". But it's important that you think about what value those messages really have. If you have an idea that you like and you think is good, make it. Build it. Do it for yourself. You mentioned why Yang is OOC in the description, if people dislike it they shouldn't be here in the first place. There are tons of us who are enjoying your story already. Everyone who tries to do things differently will always face some opposition, and as easy as it is to get lost in the couple of people in front of you, don't forget to look at the crowd behind you. Have a little confidence in your work, read all the reviews from people begging you to keep going, and don't let a couple messages get you down.

I actually enjoy stories that change things up for character personalities and yet still make it believable for the character. So this story is got that check box ticked.
Anyway, I like the pacing so far, even though this is the second chapter I’m reviewing. It does feel natural to an extent.
There are a few minor mistakes in grammar and punctuation but not enough to take away from the story itself. So, no real problem there.
I also like the realistic way you portray Yang’s reactions to seemingly everyday things due to her depression. While it definitely could be contrasted with Yang acting ‘normal’ later on should you decide to do so, it’s a welcoming touch.
Overall, from the story so far, I’m giving it a rating of 4 stars out of 5.

Hey man, (or woman or whatever), keep the fanfiction up, I'm actually enjoying it, while yang might be ooc at the start you should add some scenes where she acts like normal to hide the depression she feels, it'll help flush out the character and give a good contrast to how she is dealing with the issue. Other that that I'm loving it, and to be honest, yang is even that ooc in this, if anything she's portrayed quite like she is in volume 4 and 5, which whether people like it or not is how she is until she gets better.. Anyway, keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to the next chapter

This seems to be a cool idea to explore I would like to see more of it! Honestly in the show they keep making yang get over things too fast id like to see someone explore a side that is a bit less simple :)

What? If you like the story you picture in your mind you should just go for it. Yes, Yang's character is entirely different from the show. But it's a fan fiction. Meaning its noncanon. Meaning its not meant to be like the show. Your just borrowing a character and world in a sort of alternate universe. The whole point of an AU. I was a bit put off when I saw Yang's personality, but I enjoyed the story nonetheless.

Don't write stories you want others to like. Write a story YOU want to read.

Apparently people dont that this is an AU and fanfiction, and you already stated that she would be out of character, I will honestly just say ignore them and continue this story. :3
