I agree on the friendship point. As long as the story is well-written, my favorite stories involve teammates acting like a bunch of brothers and sisters, comforting each other, and supporting one another.
Great story. Not sure I've seen many non-romance stories focusing on someone convincing Jaune that he's only hurting himself with that video.

John Spicer while I see where you are coming from there are three reasons why it's absurdly unhealthy. One he does this basically religiously, and while we have only seen him do it once. It's implied he does it constantly in vol.4 ep.2. Two in the fic when weiss threatens to break the scroll he straight up threatens to cut her down, and here's the thing, the way jaune is now I wouldn't be surprised if he did do this in canon at all. Three he has been kinda emotionally repressed since vol. 4 not completely obviously, but think about how limited his dialogue is compared to the other seasons, and while you can argue everyone has mellowed out you have to admit he is borderline incapable of being happy. As an example when everyone was reunited they basically had a party and Jaune was more of a buzzkill then ren... think about that. So honestly yeah this is unhealthy and kudos to the writer for his good portrayal of a honestly serious issue.

This story made me incredibly happy to read. Weiss in general has grown into a very thoughtful character, who often doesn’t quite get how to express her concern to others gently and productively, so this fic reads as a very organic elaboration on that development. I also really appreciate that this was platonic. Friendship is important! :D

I agree with the others here, this story is great! It's pretty rare for me to find a great One-Shot fanfic like this! And boy, am I glad to find this story!

Good story.

This was a nice little one shot. We got both Jaune dealing with his grief from losing Pyrrha, something that was present in Volume 4, but has disappeared in Volune 5, and Exploring the idea of if Weiss and Jaune are friends.

Weiss does bring up good points about the scroll, even if forcing its destruction was a bit extreme. But she didn't give up after her first failure, admitted her mistake and tried again, with better results.

I do hope the show goes somewhere with this. I will have to wait and see in that department.

Eh. I'm under the impression that hardening yourself by reminding your mind what you missed because of you own innocence and ignorance-especially in Jaune's case where he has to prove he's ready and able to do this to the world and the fandom at times-is beneficial. Obviously it can turn bad but Jaune needs a reminder of what he missed so A. he doesn't miss anything else and B. so he knows what he'd lose if he isn't better.

You see, on these rare occasion that I find a good meaningful story is well worth it. Their is just something that flows and feels natural about this one shot. Not much for me to say really other than that this was a wonderfully written story. It would have been nice to see more of the development between Weiss and Jaune but I’ll take what I get and what I got is still good enough. Thanks again for the wonderful story.
